Veteran defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell headed a late equaliser to earn Rochdale a 1-1 draw with Kidderminster in their Vanarama National League match at Aggborough Stadium.

The Harriers – promoted last season but without a win in their last five games – went ahead in the 18th minute when Joe Leesley fired Jack Lambert’s cross into the top corner.

Harvey Gilmour went close for Rochdale with an angled drive which flew just wide.

The visitors, though, were eventually back on level terms with 15 minutes left when captain Ebanks-Landell headed in from a corner.

Dale thought they had won it in stoppage time but Ian Henderson’s goal from a free-kick into the penalty area was ruled out for offside.

Ten-man Halifax fought back to secure a point in a 1-1 draw with Southend at the Shay.

The hosts fell behind seven minutes into the second half when Jack Bridge passed to Wesley Fonguck, who struck into the corner of the net.

And Chris Millington’s side were reduced to 10 men moments later, with Luke Summerfield receiving his marching orders in the 56th minute.

But the Shaymen went on to equalise with 16 minutes of normal time remaining as Adam Senior connected with a low ball across the box to finish.

Jordan Hunter levelled for Gateshead just two minutes after coming on as a substitute with a deflected effort, but Oldham captain Liam Hogan put his side back ahead in the 65th minute after initially heading against the crossbar before sliding home Dickenson’s cross.

The visitors thought they would finally grab three points for the first time since August 12, but Stephen Wearne levelled in the 86th minute for Gateshead.

Oldham midfielder Mark Shelton was sent off two minutes later for two bookable offences as they endured a nervy finish, but held on for a share of the spoils.

Defender Franklin Domi’s saw an early effort for Eastleigh strike a post before the home side took the lead in the 19th minute when Omari Sterling-James’ cross spun over the line.

York drew level in the 27th minute through Zanda Siziba, whose fierce angled drive gave Ebbsfleet goalkeeper Mark Cousins no chance, but Domi restored his side’s lead before the break with a powerful finish.

Ebbsfleet made it 3-1 early in the second half, with Sterling-James’ low cross was converted by forward Craig Tanner.

York went close to reducing the deficit when Kai Kennedy’s header hit the crossbar before Dominic Poleon wrapped it up for Ebbsfleet with another clinical finish in the closing stages.

Dorking’s Jason Prior saw his late penalty saved as his side were held to a goalless draw at Meadowbank by Eastleigh.

Eastleigh goalkeeper Joe McDonnell saved Prior’s 79th-minute spot kick after the Dorking striker had been brought down by visiting midfielder Nigel Atangana.

Prior had earlier gone closest for his side when his effort clipped the woodwork in the 20th minute before Sebastian Bowerman fired over from the rebound.

Eastleigh thought they had taken the lead two minutes earlier when Scott Quigley headed home Chris Maguire’s cross, but the effort was ruled out for a push during the build up.

Dorking goalkeeper Harrison Male produced a smart save to keep out Charlie Carter’s shot just before half-time and Bobby-Joe Taylor fired wide for the hosts in the second period after running clear on goal.

Maidenhead played out their third successive 0-0 draw in an uninspiring Vanarama National League clash with Woking.

Jim Kellermann sent an early cross against the Maidenhead crossbar and Ricky Korboa tested home goalkeeper Craig Ross.

Charlee Adams and Reece Smith threatened at the other end while Ross twice saved from Tunji Akinola in a goalless first half.

Korboa shot over for Woking just after the hour mark and Smith missed the target from close range.

Maidenhead had convincing penalty appeals waved away after an apparent handball and Will Jaaskelainen saved from  substitute Harry Parsons late on to deny the hosts victory.

Southend wiped out their 10-point penalty and moved into positive territory after snatching a 2-1 victory at home to Kidderminster thanks to Callum Powell’s late winner.

Chances were few and far between during a drab first half, but the match came to life seven minutes after the break when Harry Cardwell broke the deadlock.

Noor Husin opened up the Kidderminster defence with a delightful ball and Cardwell made no mistake with the finish for his fifth goal of the season.

Harriers looked set for a fourth successive match without scoring, but Amari Morgan-Smith equalised in the 80th minute when he converted the rebound after Barry Maguire struck a post with a fierce shot.

Nathan Ralph went close to a winner for Southend when his long-range shot flew just over the crossbar, but Powell then struck with a cool finish in the third minute of stoppage time.

Solihull Moors lost top spot in the National League after being held 3-3 at home by Oxford City.

Promoted City, now unbeaten in four since losing their opening three matches, took a surprise 12th-minute lead when Lewis Miccio set up Olly Sanderson to head home.

However, they were ahead for barely eight minutes before Gus Mafuta drilled home Solihull’s equaliser from the edge of the box, and the high-flying hosts then took a 28th-minute lead when wing-back Joe Newton slotted home at the far post.

Oxford, playing their first season in the National League, drew level soon after half-time when leading scorer Josh Parker smashed a brilliant 20-yard effort past Tommy Simkin for his fifth goal of the campaign.

An action-packed encounter continued with a superb Simkin save preventing Parker from putting City ahead again with 17 minutes to go, and two minutes later Solihull were celebrating their third goal when Kyle Morrison headed home from a corner.

Solihull were again unable to hold on to their lead though, and Oxford salvaged a point when Josh Ashby struck a fine leveller with nine minutes to go.

Mani Dieseruvwe scored his sixth goal in as many games to help Hartlepool to a 2-1 win at home to Wealdstone.

Pools, who were dealt a significant double injury blow this week with the loss of Anthony Mancini and Dan Dodds for the season, took the lead from their first noteworthy attack in the 11th minute. Joe Grey held the ball up for Tom Crawford and his first-time shot beat goalkeeper Jed Ward.

The home side should have doubled their advantage after 18 minutes when Callum Cooke dispossessed a defender in the box but fired his effort straight at Ward.

Grey let fly with a strike from distance early in the second half which was palmed away by Ward and the same player blazed over from six yards shortly afterwards.

Tahvon Campbell brought a decent save from Pete Jameson after 57 minutes and Jack Cook was inches away with a header as Wealdstone responded.

Hartlepool made it 2-0 with a towering header from Dieseruvwe after 68 minutes but Wealdstone substitute Tarryn Allarakhia pulled one back with a curling effort five minutes later.

Jameson pulled off a stunning save to keep out sub Olufela Olomola’s long-range effort, while Charles Barker grazed the crossbar in stoppage time as Hartlepool were holding on at the death.

Ade Oluwo sent Barnet to the top of the Nation League courtesy of a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Boreham Wood.

The defender headed home a 76th-minute winner to leave his side, who had started the day in second place, top on goal difference ahead of Chesterfield.

Lee Ndlovu might have given the hosts a fourth-minute lead after being played in by Kwesi Appiah, but fired just wide, but the striker did force Barnet keeper Laurie Walker to intervene six minutes later.

However, opposite number Nathan Ashmore had to be at his best to turn away Dale Gorman’s attempt from distance, but saved more comfortably from Nicke Kabamba 10 minutes before the break.

Tom Whelan was unable to capitalise on good work by Ndlovu down the left when his attempt was saved by Walker, and his side were made to pay with 14 minutes remaining when Oluwo powered home from a corner to snatch victory.

Dagenham made it three consecutive wins in the Vanarama National League after securing a 3-1 victory over Fylde.

The Daggers opened the scoring 21 minutes into the contest when Ryan Hill let fly from 25 yards and fired into the top corner to make it 1-0.

The hosts doubled their advantage seven minutes later after Myles Weston’s cross was flicked on by Charley Kendall and Josh Rees was on hand to smash home from close range.

Dagenham re-established their two-goal advantage just before the hour mark after Hill cut in and set up Mussa who finished beautifully.

Joe Quigley’s late winner saw Chesterfield snatch three points in a seven-goal thriller to beat Aldershot 4-3.

The three points moved the Spireites into second in the National League table but they had to come from behind after Aldershot opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Josh Stokes pounced on a loose ball in the middle to fire the hosts into the lead.

Chesterfield levelled just eight minutes later when a corner came in and after a goalmouth scramble, Ryan Colclough was able to stab the ball home.

The visitors took the lead three minutes into the second half when Jeff King’s cross was blocked and Will Grigg tucked the ball past Jack Bycroft.

They added a third in the 54th minute when Tom Naylor headed home from close range for his second goal in two games.

The Shots pulled one back six minutes later after Lorent Tolaj found Jack Barham in the box and the forward was able to tap the ball in at the far post.

Barham added a second to equalise in the 84th minute with a header from Ollie Harfield’s cross, but Quigley found the winner in the 87th minute and Theo Widdrington’s late red card added to Aldershot’s frustration.

Todd Miller’s late strike earned back-to-back Vanarama National League wins for Bromley after they beat Altrincham 2-1.

Corey Whitely put the visitors in front 12 minutes in with a sweet curling effort landing in the top corner.

Their lead was short-lived though as Altrincham pulled one back in the 23rd minute after Justin Amaluzor levelled from a corner.

Ravens goalkeeper Grant Smith made a great save to deny Dior Angus after the break before Bes Topalloj had an effort from distance which flew wide.

Bromley found the winner in the 87th minute when Miller slotted home to earn his first goal for the club and hand Altrincham their first defeat of the season.

Halifax stretched their unbeaten run to five Vanarama National League matches with a 1-0 victory at Rochdale.

Rob Harker’s first-half goal proved the difference at a sunny Crown Oil Arena as the visitors climbed above their opponents.

Rochdale goalkeeper Louie Moulden did well to keep the scores level in the ninth minute when he tipped Andrew Oluwabori’s 25-yard effort onto the bar.

However, Moulden could do nothing to prevent Harker giving the visitors the lead 13 minutes later, the forward finding the net after Angelo Cappello had won possession and found him with a precise pass.

Southend slipped to a 2-1 defeat away to Bromley in their first game since a fan protest against the running of the club on Saturday.

A points deduction means that Southend sit on minus one after six games of the National League season, and their lot worsened when Louis Dennis scored for the hosts after 18 minutes.

Michael Cheek doubled the lead in the 55th minute as Bromley pulled clear of the relegation places.

A consolation goal scored a minute later by Noor Husin ultimately proved in vain as Southend finished the day six points from safety.
