Nicke Kabamba’s hat-trick fired Barnet to a 3-2 win at home to Ebbsfleet and moved them to within a point of the top of the National League table.

The visitors had led until late in the first half thanks to the first of two goals from Dominic Poleon, before Kabamba levelled deep into added time at the end of the first period.

Just after the hour Barnet went ahead when the 30-year-old struck again but their advantage was extinguished in minutes as Poleon also netted his second to level the score.

The hosts completed a memorable victory when Kabamba competed his treble 11 minutes from time to put just a point between Barnet and leaders Solihull Moors.

Gateshead dug in and battled to a goalless stalemate at Halifax after Luke Hannant was sent off in the second half.

Hannant was shown a second yellow card in the 65th-minute to leave an uphill task for Mike Williamson’s team, but they stood firm to earn a point.

A number of chances were created during the first half at the Shay and yet it remained 0-0 at half-time.

Hannant had been cautioned at the end of the opening 45 and received his marching orders with 65 minutes played.

Halifax looked to force a winner and Jack Evans headed wide before Angelo Cappello saw a shot blocked but the Vanarama National League clash ended 0-0.

Fylde scored in the eighth minute of added time to secure a 3-3 draw at home to Altrincham but remain in the relegation zone in the National League.

The hosts were 2-0 down at half-time after goals from Regan Linney and Dior Angus placed Altrincham in a commanding position.

Nick Haughton and substitute Gold Omotayo brought it back to 2-2 with 12 minutes to go, but the visitors looked to have snatched it when Chris Conn-Clarke’s 87th-minute penalty restored their lead.

But Fylde rescued themselves when Emeka Obi struck deep into added time to cap a dramatic encounter at Mill Farm.

Dagenham made it back-to-back National League wins after second-half goals from Ryan Hill and Omar Mussa earned Ben Strevens’ side a 2-0 victory at Wealdstone.

Strevens’ men had been winless until Saturday’s narrow 1-0 triumph over London rivals Barnet, but they followed it up by claiming more bragging rights against an opponent from the capital.

After a goalless first 45 minutes at Grosvenor Vale, Dagenham broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half when Nikola Tavares burst forward and found Hill, who steered past Wealdstone goalkeeper Jed Ward.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser but Tavares’ fine last-ditch tackle denied Micah Obiero the chance to get a shot off on goal and the visitors secured the points with seven minutes left.

Mussa let fly and his effort was too powerful for Ward to help Dagenham move up to 13th.

Kidderminster recorded a third straight home goalless draw since their return to the National League, with Maidenhead this time the visitors claiming a point at Aggborough.

Following a first half devoid of openings, Jack Lambert was the first to have a sight of goal midway through the second half but his effort was blocked and Caleb Richards steered a shot wide as the ball rebounded to him.

Maidenhead, who came into the game eighth with just one defeat from their opening five National League games, immediately responded but Casey Pettit fired over Lewis Kinsella’s cross.

Nathaniel Knight-Percival headed wide from a corner for the hosts, before Lambert was played in on goal before being denied by Maidenhead goalkeeper Craig Ross.

The result dropped both sides down two places, with Kidderminster now 18th and Maidenhead 10th.

Eastleigh began life after Lee Bradbury by brushing aside 10-man Aldershot to claim their first victory of the season.

Bradbury was sacked following Friday’s 2-0 defeat at Southend but the Spitfires, under the interim guidance of Richard Hill and Jason Bristow, took full advantage of Aldershot goalkeeper Jordi van Stappershoef’s first-half dismissal to earn a 3-0 win.

Van Stappershoef was shown a straight red card in the 34th minute for wiping out Aidan Barlow just outside the area and, with no substitute keeper on the bench, striker Lorent Tolaj was sent on to take the gloves.

The Shots’ woes immediately worsened as Chris Maguire scored from the resulting free-kick, curling a pinpoint effort over the wall and in off the underside of the crossbar.

Eastleigh doubled their lead in the 64th minute when summer signing Enzio Boldewijn headed home from a corner.

Soon after that the Shots elected to change keepers again, with Tolaj going up front and Kwame Thomas, another forward, coming back to replace him between the sticks.

However, Thomas also conceded almost immediately as the Spitfires made it 3-0 through Boldewijn, who coolly slotted home his second of the afternoon.

Paul Cook watched his Chesterfield team fight back from two down to shock previous leaders Hartlepool by a 3-2 score after Tom Naylor’s stoppage-time winner.

Hartlepool had set the pace in the Vanarama National League after five matches and established a two-goal advantage after only six minutes on Bank Holiday Monday, but the hosts stormed back to a memorable victory.

In-form Emmanuel Dieseruvwe gave Pools the perfect start by firing in from 25 yards after only two minutes for his fifth goal of the season.

Hartlepool doubled their advantage in the sixth minute when Joe Grey crossed in for Anthony Mancini, who found the bottom corner.

The entertaining start to the contest in Derbyshire continued when Ryan Colclough headed home Liam Mandeville’s cross after quarter of an hour.

It remained 2-1 to the visitors at half-time, but Cook’s Chesterfield levelled straight after the break when Jamie Grimes nodded in after Naylor’s effort hit the crossbar.

While Colclough had the ball in the net with 20 minutes left, it was ruled out for offside but the home team would not be denied with Naylor’s low strike going under Joel Dixon in the 94th minute to earn Chesterfield all three points.

York’s winless start to the National League season continued with a 3-1 defeat to Rochdale at the LNER Stadium.

Tyrese Sinclair’s 36th-minute penalty gave Rochdale the upper hand.

York struck back on the verge of half-time as Adam Crookes headed home in the 12th minute of added time.

As the second half got under way, it was Dale who started off the better as Sinclair bagged his brace in the 53rd minute, converting from the penalty spot for a second time after Crookes received a red card.

Ian Henderson made it three for Dale late on, netting his third goal of the season.

Mark Beck scored his 100th career goal as Solihull Moors beat 10-man Oldham 2-0 to go top of the Vanarama National League.

Latics, who had seen Alex Reid miss a good chance to give them the lead midway through the first half, were left facing an uphill battle when forward Mike Fondop was sent off after 36 minutes for a second bookable offence.

Solihull took full advantage as Beck reached his century milestone 12 minutes after half-time, tapping home his third goal of the season from six yards after a well-worked move.

Josh Kelly sealed Solihull’s win in the fourth minute of stoppage time after Oldham goalkeeper Mathew Hudson had denied James Clarke, Matty Warburton and Jay Benn.

Oxford City secured their first-ever National League win in some style as they hammered Boreham Wood 4-0 at Marsh Lane.

Oxford, promoted via the National League South play-offs in May, had failed to win any of their opening five matches in the fifth tier of English football but spectacularly put that right on Monday.

The visitors arguably had the better of a goalless first half with Kwesi Appiah going close with a header, but City stormed to victory with four goals in the final 25 minutes.

Nya Kirby smashed in the first with a powerful low shot and Josh Parker doubled the lead with 15 minutes to go.

Olly Sanderson added a third five minutes later and substitute Zac McEachran wrapped up the win in the 86th minute, inflicting only Boreham Wood’s second defeat of the season.

Woking secured their third win of the season with a 2-0 home victory over Surrey rivals Dorking.

The Cards opened the scoring through Ricky Korboa, who capitalised on a Zak Bradshaw cross in the 34th minute.

Chances continued to come for both sides, with Woking’s Padraig Amond among those unable to take advantage.

Eventually they did double their lead, with Dennon Lewis making it two late on.

Mani Dieseruvwe scored twice as Hartlepool defeated Fylde 3-1 to move to the top of the National League table.

Dieseruvwe headed in the opener in the 25th minute and was involved in Hartlepool’s second eight minutes later, combining with Chris Wreh to set up Callum Cooke for a curling finish into the bottom corner.

Newly-promoted Fylde gave themselves hope by pulling one back in first-half injury time through Gold Omotayo.

But Dieseruvwe made it four goals for the season with his second of the game eight minutes after half-time.

Jason Prior’s late strike dashed York’s hopes of a first win in the Vanarama National League this season as Dorking secured a 2-2 draw.

Dorking went ahead in the 17th minute when James McShane prodded home after the Minstermen were unable to sufficiently deal with a long throw into the area.

Harrison Male preserved Dorking’s lead by denying Olly Dyson before half-time but York were level after 58 minutes when Maziar Kouhyar curled a left-footed effort into the top corner.

Dipo Akinyemi then put York ahead for the first time after gathering the ball on the right and rifling across Male in the 73rd minute.

But Prior headed into the roof of the net in the 85th minute as York were left to rue a third consecutive draw. Lenell John-Lewis saw a header cleared off the line in added-on time before the York captain was giving his marching orders for a rash challenge on Seb Bowerman.

Woking hit back from a goal down to claim a 3-1 win at Gateshead in the Vanarama National League.

Marcus Dinanga shrugged off a challenge to get on the end of Stephen Wearne’s through ball before beating Will Jaaskelainen at his near post to put Gateshead in front after 21 minutes.

Jaaskelainen kept the deficit to one goal after tipping Dinanga’s header over the bar and Woking dragged themselves level four minutes after half-time when Jim Kellermann cut inside and fired home.

The visitors went ahead for the first time just after the hour mark as Padraig Amond rose highest to head Ricky Korboa’s cross beyond Gateshead goalkeeper Archie Mair.

Zak Bradshaw then made sure of all three points for Woking with a minute remaining after rounding Mair and tapping into an empty net.

Dagenham and Redbridge saw off Barnet 1-0 to earn their first win of the season.

Both teams had a few chances throughout, but it was Dagenham who looked like opening the scoring, Sam Ling going close from a 62nd-minute corner.

Zak Brunt hit back for Barnet, having a go from the edge of the box in the 73rd minute but curling his effort wide.

However the scoring was finally in the 87th minute when Nik Tavares got a shot away that went in off Barnet defender Nicke Kabamba.
