Dominic Poleon bagged a brace as Ebbsfleet bounced back from last weekend’s hammering at Gateshead by brushing aside 10-man Kidderminster 3-0.

Poleon, who scored last Saturday as the Fleet went down 4-1 in the north east, struck in the 21st minute after Kidderminster failed to clear their lines, brushing off one challenge then rifling home.

The hosts doubled their advantage after 29 minutes thanks to Poleon, who beat the offside trap to latch on to Nathan Odokonyero’s pass before cutting on to his right foot and finishing past Christian Dibble.

Kidderminster’s day worsened as Alex Penny was given his second booking after bringing down Darren McQueen in the 35th minute, meaning they had to play more than half the match a man down.

Luke O’Neill’s clever back heel on the stroke of half-time put Ebbsfleet three goals to the good and while they were unable to find a way through after the break, they had done enough to secure the points.

Boreham Wood and Oldham played out a goalless draw in the National League.

Chances did come and go for both sides in the first half, as Lee Ndlovu struck the post for Boreham Wood in injury time.

Boreham continued to have their fair share of chances as Ndlovu went close again.

Jamal Fyfield blocked a late opportunity for Oldham’s James Norwood by sliding in front of him just before he could get a shot off.

Oldham’s Dan Gardner also had a free-kick late on, forcing Nathan Ashmore into making the save.

Aldershot were too strong for Wealdstone in a 3-1 victory at the EBB stadium.

Aldershot were the ones to strike first through a powerful shot from Ryan Glover 32 minutes in.

Lorent Tolaj and Jack Barham had chances come their way in the first half, but were not able to double the Shots’ lead.

Eventually they managed to do so when, after Barham had a shot saved, Josh Stokes converted the rebound (54).

Stokes then went on to get his brace in the 76th minute, before Wealdstone grabbed a consolation with Sean Adarkwa scoring a close-range tap in (77).

Goalkeeper Chris Haigh starred as Oxford City kept their first National League clean sheet in a goalless draw at Maidenhead.

Haigh made two fine stops from Jayden Mitchell-Lawson in the opening 20 minutes.

Chanka Zimba, making his Maidenhead debut after signing on loan from Cardiff, was then brilliantly denied from close range.

Josh Ross went closest for the visitors when forcing a fine save from Craig Ross and neither side could break the deadlock in a second half of few chances.

Altrincham came from behind to score two late goals and beat Chesterfield 2-1.

Jamie Grimes opened the scoring with a header in the 16th minute to give Chesterfield the advantage.

Altrincham pushed hard to strike back, but were unable to do so in the first half.

The chances continued to flow for both sides, and Justin Amaluzor put a chance over the bar from the edge of the box for the home outfit.

Alty did manage to equalise in the 83rd minute with Dior Angus opening his account for the club, and Angus managed to do it again four minutes into time added on.

Michael Cheek rescued a point for Bromley in a 2-2 National League draw at Rochdale, with both sides ending a thrilling game with 10 men.

Tyrese Sinclair fired a double for Dale, his first from the penalty spot, after Chinwike Okoli had headed Bromley into a first-half lead and before Cheek levelled it up for the visitors.

Bromley defender Okoli headed his side into a 15th-minute lead, but Sinclair converted a 38th-minute penalty after Cameron John had been brought down by Joshua Passley, who was shown a straight red card.

Former Mansfield forward Sinclair then struck his third goal of the season, curling his shot into the top corner to put Dale ahead early in the second period, only for Cheek to steer home a 62nd-minute equaliser on the counter.

Dale were reduced to 10 men when former Leeds and Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton was sent off for a professional foul before Sinclair was denied hat-trick as his deflected shot hit a post.

Solihull Moors extended their unbeaten start to the season to five matches to move top of the National League with a 1-1 draw at home to Halifax.

A point was enough to take them above Barnet, who have a chance to regain the lead at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday, but was ultimately disappointing having taken the lead.

Josh Kelly took his tally to three in the last three matches as he was picked out by Jamey Osbourne in space between Halifax’s defence to slot home.

But the hosts could not capitalise on their advantage and Jo Cummings, on his first start after joining from Boston in the summer, scored his maiden goal for the club with a header from a 65th-minute corner.

Southend put off-field issues and fan protests aside to claim a 2-0 win over Eastleigh at Roots Hall.

The Shrimpers, who this week dropped to the foot of the National League after being deducted 10 points for breaching financial rules, struck twice in the opening 25 minutes to take a lead they never surrendered.

The match was briefly halted after 10 minutes when Southend fans threw hundreds of tennis balls onto the pitch while calling for chairman Ron Martin to leave the club.

Once play resumed, Noor Husin put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute when he slotted home following good work by Jack Bridge and Gus Scott-Morriss.

Harry Cardwell then doubled Southend’s lead soon after with his fourth goal in five games this season, with Bridge heavily involved again.

Eastleigh, still looking for their first win of the campaign, threatened through Aidan Barlow and Chris Maguire but they were also indebted to goalkeeper Joe McDonnell for preventing Dan Mooney making it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time.

Maguire tested Collin Andeng Ndi as Eastleigh sought a way back into the game in the second half but Southend held firm to claim their third win of the season, moving them back up to minus one point.

Ian Henderson continued his strong start to the season with another goal as Rochdale claimed a 2-0 National League victory at home to Eastleigh.

Fans favourite Henderson – on his second stint at Spotland – opened the scoring for Dale just nine minutes in for his second goal of the campaign.

Former Eastleigh loaneee Kairo Mitchell doubled their advantage against his old side on the brink of half-time after nailing a shot from 30 yards.

As chances continued, Dale came agonisingly close to making it three, as they struck the post in the 59th minute.

Chances came for the Spitfires, but they failed to score and – as a a result – they dropped down to 19th as the hosts were propelled into 11th.

Zak Brunt’s brilliant double sent Barnet to the top of the National League after a 2-0 win over Woking at The Hive.

Brunt fired a 15th-minute opener from the edge of the box and lashed a superb second from long range early in the second half to stretch the Bees’ unbeaten start to four games.

Barnet were on top from the off and after Brunt put them ahead Nicke Kabamba came close to adding a second when he saw his shot cleared off the line.

Woking responded through Rhys Browne who hit the bar on the half-hour and Brunt also hit the woodwork before his superb curling strike from distance extended Barnet’s lead.

Woking kept pressing and came close to reducing the deficit in the late stages when Scott Cuthbert fired his effort against the bar.

Solihull Moors extended their unbeaten start to the Vanarama National League season with a 3-0 victory over Dorking.

Richard Stearman went close to a third-minute opener for Moors as he struck the crossbar from close range and the hosts went ahead 13 minutes later when summer signing Kade Craig opened his account by turning a cross in at the far post.

Moors doubled the lead just before half-time when Josh Kelly was brought down by Dorking goalkeeper Harrison Male and the striker dusted himself down to convert the resulting penalty.

Kelly was involved in the third goal after 64 minutes as his low cross from the right found Mark Beck who slid home at the far post. Dorking’s misery was complete late on when Aaron Kuhl was sent off for tripping Connor Hall.

Reece Smith fired Maidenhead to a 1-0 victory over Dagenham and Redbridge in a hard-fought encounter at York Road.

A tight first half ended goalless with neither side having troubled the opposition keeper unduly.

Maidenhead’s Charlee Adams blazed a 34th-minute free-kick over and fellow midfielder Casey Pettit failed to hit the target with Sam Ling equally inaccurate for the visitors in a late flurry as the halftime whistle approached.

Midfielder Smith broke the deadlock for the home side 12 minutes after the restart when he blasted a shot into the top corner.

Adams saw a 71st-minute strike tipped over by keeper Elliot Justham, but Smith’s contribution proved enough to claim the points.

Tahvon Campbell struck deep into stoppage time as Wealdstone completed a 3-2 comeback victory over 10-man AFC Fylde.

Wealdstone had forced their way ahead after just 10 minutes when Campbell converted Charles Clayden’s left-wing cross from close range.

The striker was unable to make the most of rounding keeper Theo Richardson four minutes later and his side was pegged back eight minutes before the break when Gold Omotayo headed Nick Haughton’s free-kick past Jed Ward.

Fylde went ahead 12 minutes after the restart when Naughton beat Ward from all of 40 yards but their celebrations ended abruptly when Pierce Bird was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Richardson denied Jack Cook an equaliser 17 minutes from time but could not prevent substitute Nathan Ferguson from levelling with four minutes remaining – and there was worse to come for the visitors.

The clock had ticked into the ninth minute of added time when Campbell flicked home a last-gasp winner after a corner had been headed back across goal by Charlie Barker.

A hat-trick from Stephen Wearne sealed an emphatic 4-1 National League win for Gateshead over Ebbsfleet at the Gateshead International Stadium.

Wearne struck three times in the last half hour as the home side pulled away from their opponents having entered the interval all square.

Kenton Richardson’s deflected effort had given the home side the lead but Ebbsfleet were level when Dominic Poleon capitalised on a spill by Gateshead keeper Archie Mair.

Ebbsfleet keeper Mark Cousins saved superbly to deny Marcus Dingana and Luke Hannant and send his side in level at half-time.

But a rare mistake by the visiting keeper gave Wearne the chance to slot Gateshead’s second after 55 minutes, and nine minutes later Wearne chipped home from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box.

Wearne completed his hat-trick in stoppage time and Ebbsfleet’s miserable day was complete when Poleon’s last-ditch penalty hit the woodwork.

Lenell John-Lewis struck a stoppage-time equaliser to rescue a point for York in a 1-1 draw with Aldershot at the EBB Stadium.

Aldershot started the brighter of the two sides and almost had an opener just four minutes in after Lorent Tolaj played in Jack Barham, but his effort was met by David Stockdale.

The Shots dominated the first period and broke the deadlock four minutes before the break after Barham and Aaron Moore linked up, with the latter let ting fly with an effort which flew past Stockdale.

York almost grabbed an equaliser on the hour mark when Dipo Akinyemi found himself through on goal but his one-on-one effort was magnificently saved by Jordi van Stappershoef.

The visitors equalised at the death when Akinyemi’s clever pass picked out John-Lewis who flicked home as both sides shared the spoils.
