Fylde went in front after only 20 seconds when Danny Whitehead struck his second of the season.

Barnet, who announced pre-match that former Celtic and Norwich striker Gary Hooper was set to join the club, saw their chances improve after the break when Siyabonga Ligendza was shown a second yellow card.

The hosts equalised 10 minutes from time when Callum Stead guided the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the area and the prolific Kabamba snatched the points at the death.

Paul McCallum’s hat-trick earned Eastleigh a 5-2 win over Ebbsfleet in the National League.

Darren McQueen gave Fleet a seventh-minute lead from Ben Chapman’s cross but McCallum equalised 10 minutes later when he headed in Chris Maguire’s free-kick.

McQueen twice went close to a second but it was McCallum who instead doubled his personal tally when he scrambled home five minutes before the break.

Scott Quigley netted the third after being sent through by Maguire and after keeper Joe McDonnell brilliantly denied McQueen with a double intervention, Quigley turned provider for McCallum’s third.

McQueen pulled one back before Maguire had the final say from a stoppage-time penalty, with Fleet substitute Billy Clifford then shown a red card.

Altrincham moved up to sixth in the National League table as they made it four straight wins with a 2-1 victory at home to Aldershot.

After a bright start from both sides, Alty took the lead in the 24th minute through Chris Conn-Clarke’s thumping shot into the bottom-left corner – his fourth goal in as many matches.

Aldershot’s response was immediate, but Ryan Glover’s effort came back off a post.

They were awarded a penalty with just under 20 minutes remaining and Cian Harries stepped up to equalise.

But the visitors’ joy was short-lived as Alty regained the lead five minutes later when Alex Newby found the bottom corner and that was how it stayed.

An inspired Jed Ward kept the hosts at bay in the first half. The Wealdstone goalkeeper got down well to deny Greg Olley before he tipped over Marcus Dinanga’s header and kept out McBride’s close-range effort.

Against the run of play, Wealdstone struck with 18 minutes left when Tarryn Allarakhia found the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.

But McBride equalised four minutes later after being teed up by Olley and then unleashed a brilliant curling effort from 25 yards to secure victory.

Hours before the National League clash, the Shrimpers announced a takeover deal with a consortium led by Australian businessman Justin Rees had been agreed a day before the club is due in High Court to face a winding-up petition.

On the pitch, the players ensured the fans celebrated the news with three points thanks to first-half goals from Harry Cardwell and Jack Wood.

Cardwell scored his 10th league goal of the season in the 31st minute when he converted Gus Scott-Morriss’ far-post cross.

Wood grabbed his first goal for the club seven minutes later when he knocked in the rebound to his initial effort, which was saved by Oxford City goalkeeper Chris Haigh.

Chesterfield’s seven-match winning run was ended but the Vanarama National League leaders were grateful for Michael Jacobs’ second-half strike in a 1-1 draw at struggling Maidenhead.

Craig Ross saved well from Will Grigg but Maidenhead, who had lost their previous five fixtures, took the lead after half-an-hour as Tobi Sho-Silva turned in Jayden Mitchell-Lawson’s low cross.

Armando Dobra and Ollie Bank went close to equalising before half-time while Jacobs’ strike from an acute angle was well saved by Maidenhead goalkeeper Ross after the interval.

Jacobs would not be denied in the 58th minute, superbly lashing home from distance, although the Spireites settled for a point after Ross saved from Grigg, who had been put clean through, late on.

Goals from Darren McQueen (2) and Luke O’Neill steered Ebbsfleet to a 3-1 home win over Boreham Wood in the Vanarama National League.

O’Neill broke the deadlock in the 20th minute after McQueen’s rebound had fallen for him, before McQueen doubled the lead 10 minutes later.

However, the influential McQueen completed his double with 20 minutes to go, completing the scoring and ensuring three points for the hosts.

Lewis Walker scored on his debut as Woking returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at National League strugglers AFC Fylde.

Experienced striker Padraig Amond netted the opening goal in the 13th minute with a stunning free-kick from 25 yards.

After a lengthy delay which resulted in the fourth official taking over from one of the assistant referees, Woking came close to doubling their lead when Dan Moss’ cross flashed across goal.

Walker, signed on loan from Gillingham on Friday, did make it 2-0 just six minutes after coming on at half-time, when he nodded home.

First-half goals from Anthony Hartigan and Callum Stead put Barnet on the path to a 2-1 victory over Kidderminster to deepen the Harriers’ woes.

Rock-bottom of the Vanarama National League and nursing a four-match losing run, Kidderminster stumbled out of the traps as Hartigan put the Bees ahead with an excellent free-kick that found the top corner.

Kidderminster might have had an instant response but Alex Penny’s volley whistled over the bar before Stead grabbed his first Barnet goal when he headed home from close range after 27 minutes.

The hosts gave themselves hope when Krystian Pearce nodded in from Joe Leesley’s cross in the 64th minute but they could find no way through again and Barnet held on for their second win of the week.

Richard Hill’s latest stint as manager of Eastleigh started with a 3-2 victory at Halifax in the Vanarama National League.

The Hampshire club opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 19th minute, with Chris Maguire sending Sam Johnson the wrong way and finding the bottom corner, after Paul McCallum had been fouled.

McCallum tapped in a loose ball to double the Spitfires’ advantage in the 54th minute and completed his double, following good work from Enzio Boldewijn, with 17 minutes to go.

Florent Hoti scored with 11 minutes remaining to give the hosts hope and with three minutes remaining Jordan Keane headed in a corner to reduce the deficit to one – but that was as far as Halifax’s comeback was to go.

Southend reduced the deficit through Cardwell’s header before the interval and the forward hauled the Shrimpers level with his ninth league goal of the season, heading home Jack Wood’s cross in the 64th minute.

The impressive Uchegbulam’s fierce effort was well saved by visiting goalkeeper David Martin as Southend, deducted 10 points at the start of the season for breaching financial rules, remain second from bottom in the National League.

Oldham’s climb up the National League table was checked as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Wealdstone.

Latics had won their three previous matches following a seven-game winless run and led through Alex Reid before Sam Bowen fired the hosts’ first-half equaliser.

Oldham punished Wealdstone’s sloppy defending just after the half-hour mark when Reid intercepted a poor back pass and calmly rounded the goalkeeper to slot home the opener.

Wealdstone went in level at the break thanks to Bowen’s impressive finish, the midfielder converting his third goal in four games and Oldham were indebted to goalkeeper Matthew Hudson, who produced a decisive second-half save from Kyle Smith’s effort.
