Sam Bowen’s second-half double gave Wealdstone a much-needed 3-1 National League win over Oxford City.

The hosts had not won since the end of September and fell behind to Josh Parker’s 28th-minute opener from a set-piece.

Kyle Smith quickly levelled for the hosts when he found the bottom corner.

The second half was all about Bowen as he put his side in front three minutes after the restart with a finish high into the net and then killed the game in the 57th minute with a curled effort into the top corner.

Southend’s impressive run continued with a 3-0 success over Ebbsfleet which extended their winning streak in the National League to four games.

The Shrimpers made it six unbeaten in total thanks to goals from Oli Coker, Gus Scott-Morriss and Jack Wood.

Coker opened the scoring when he curled into the top corner from the edge of the area in the 25th minute.

Scott-Morriss ensured the points were staying in Essex with another impressive finish, sending a looping shot into the net after 53 minutes, with Wood’s late strike adding icing to the cake.

Wealdstone were able to dig in after Mason Barrett’s second-half red card to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Boreham Wood on Saturday night.

Erico Sousa put Wood ahead in the 18th minute, but Tarryn Allarakhia produced a brilliant leveller before half-time in the National League clash.

Barrett’s sending-off in the 68th minute made the final exchanges an uphill battle for Wealdstone, but they held firm to end their three-match losing run.

Sousa gave the visitors the perfect start when he cut inside and rifled into the bottom corner in London.

Allarakhia made sure Wealdstone were on level terms at the break when he collected the ball by the halfway line and dribbled past a number of opponents before he side-footed into the bottom corner in the pouring rain.

The hosts’ chances of pushing for a winner were largely ended when Barrett received two bookings in the space of 11 minutes and it finished all square.

Millenic Alli’s double gave Halifax a 2-1 win over struggling Kidderminster.

The forward struck after 28 minutes and then five minutes after the break with Halifax sitting seventh in the National League.

Second-bottom Kidderminster did equalise through Amari Morgan-Smith in the first half.

But Alli, who ended a five-game drought with his first, won the game just after the break with his fourth goal of the season.

James Norwood’s 72nd-minute strike helped Oldham edge out Rochdale in a seven-goal thriller at Crown Oil Arena.

Jimmy Keohane netted a hat-trick for hosts Rochdale, but it failed to halt the winless run of James McNulty’s team, which has now extended to eight games in all competitions after this 4-3 loss.

Nathan Sheron put Oldham ahead after 16 minutes before a goal frenzy occurred following half-time with Devarn Green making it 2-0 in the 49th-minute.

Keohane reduced the deficit soon after before he levelled the scores on the hour mark for Rochdale.

Hallam Hope immediately put Oldham back ahead and Norwood’s smart finish from a tight angle with 18 minutes left looked to make the points safe for the visitors.

Keohane sparked an exciting finale when he completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish from a corner and despite 16 minutes of stoppage ime, Oldham held on to move up to 10th in the Vanarama National League.

Olufela Olomola scored a brace as Bromley claimed a 3-1 National League victory at home to Oxford City.

The hosts opened the scoring, with Olomola opening his Bromley account just six minutes in.

Jake Hessenthaler put the Daggers in front in the 25th minute after getting on the end of Josh Hare’s corner.

The Cards were reduced to 10 men in the 66th minute when Tunji Akinola was shown a second yellow card and Effiong struck late into stoppage time to hand Dagenham victory.

But the Shots had other ideas and struck twice in three minutes.

Substitute Kwame Thomas levelled (79) when he scored at the back post after Ollie Harfield crossed and then, in the 81st minute, Thomas fed Josh Stokes who went clear to win it.

Charlton loanee Daniel Kanu marked his home debut for Southend with a four-goal salvo in a stunning 5-0 thrashing of Solihull Moors.

Solihull had sat third in the Vanarama National League and only lost once in the division all season, but the Blues turned the form book upside down with a superb display in front of prospective new owner Justin Rees at Roots Hall.

Kanu, who signed on loan from Charlton earlier this month, opened the scoring after quarter of an hour with a close-range finish and made it 2-0 to Kevin Maher’s side with his second on the stroke of half-time.

Noor Husin grabbed Southend’s third just past the hour mark when he sent a left-footed effort into the corner.

It sparked a period of three goals in five minutes and Kanu completed his treble in the 64th minute when he headed home Jack Bridge’s cross before the teenager made it 5-0 with a poacher’s finish minutes later.

Barnet recovered from two goals down to beat Dorking 3-2 and keep up the pressure on Vanarama National League leaders Chesterfield.

Josh Taylor and Jason Prior put Dorking in charge at Meadowbank, but second-half goals from Nicke Kabamba, Anthony Hartigan and Danny Collinge earned Barnet a comeback win that keeps them three points behind Chesterfield.

Dorking took a fifth-minute lead when a long ball forward was allowed to bounce through to the edge of Barnet box, where Taylor pounced to drill past Laurie Walker.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 22nd minute when Tom Blair’s cross picked out Prior and the veteran striker headed home his seventh of the season.

With the points slipping away, Barnet came out after the break with all guns blazing and Kabamba reduced the deficit when he got in front of his marker to flick in his 11th goal of the campaign.

Barnet substitute Callum Stead hit the outside of a post, but the visitors would not be denied and drew level in the 67th minute when Anthony Hartigan curled a brilliant free-kick into the near top corner.
