Paul McCallum scored a brace to earn Eastleigh a 2-1 victory against Boreham Wood in the National League.

Eastleigh opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Enzio Boldewijn picked out McCallum with a cutback and he curled into the top corner.

Boreham Wood were not behind for long as Tyrone Marsh smashed in via the underside of the crossbar four minutes later.

The home side regained their advantage two minutes into the second half when McCallum nodded in from a corner and they held on to record back-to-back home wins.

Oxford City climbed out of the National League relegation zone with a 4-0 win at 10-man Ebbsfleet.

Buoyed by their 3-2 home win over Woking last week, City made a fantastic start by taking the lead after four minutes when Cole Kpekawa headed home on his debut after signing on loan from Bromley.

Zac McEachran doubled the visitors’ lead in the 13th minute before things went from bad to worse for Ebbsfleet on the half-hour mark when Billy Clifford was sent off for two yellow cards.

Oxford continued to dominate after the break, with Olly Sanderson making it three in the 49th minute and Alex McQueen put the game to bed three minutes later.

Ebbsfleet dropped to third-bottom after a fifth defeat in a seven-match winless run.

Scott Quigley and Paul McCallum were on target as Eastleigh extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to three matches thanks to a narrow 2-1 National League win over Altrincham.

Eastleigh opened the scoring after 12 minutes as Quigley fired the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Altrincham equalised midway through the second half as Chris Conn-Clarke converted a penalty – after Dior Angus was brought down in the six-yard box – as he sent the goalkeeper the wrong way from the spot.

The home side reclaimed the lead five minutes from time, with McCallum slotting the ball home from Quigley’s assist to clinch all three points.

Dorking returned to winning ways with a narrow 2-1 National League victory at home to Boreham Wood.

The hosts were first to strike as Alfie Rutherford made the perfect return from injury when he slotted home past goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.

Boreham Wood nearly equalised just before half-time, with Chris Bush heading towards the net, but Dorking goalkeeper Harrison Male read it well to keep them out.

Tom Whelan equalised midway through the second half as he connected to a cross from debutant Charles Clayden to head the ball past Male.

One debutant grabbed an assist and another got a goal as Hadyn Hollis headed home the winner nine minutes from time as the home side moved up three places to 15th.

Maidenhead continued their climb up the National League table as they held on for a 2-1 victory over high-flying Solihull.

It was a third successive league win for the visitors, who had their first real shot on target midway through the first half from Sam Barratt, before Tobi Sho-Silva fired them in front moments later with his second goal of the season.

The Magpies doubled their lead just after the break through a long-range effort from Reece Smith.

Solihull tried to mount a comeback but Matty Warburton’s powerful effort sailed just wide.

Mark Beck pulled one back for the Moors in the 90th minute when he got his headed in a corner at the far post but it was too little too late as they dropped down a spot to fourth and the visitors moved up to 18th.

Barnet missed the chance to close the gap on National League leaders Chesterfield after a 2-0 home defeat to fifth-placed Gateshead.

Stephen Wearne’s brace left the Bees five points behind the Spireites, who lost at Southend.

Gateshead opened the scoring two minutes into the second half through Wearne.

Despite missing from 20 yards earlier on, Wearne grabbed his second 20 minutes later, taking his tally to three in two games.

Bromley secured an eighth consecutive National League home win after beating second-bottom AFC Fylde 1-0.

Josh Passley was the hero, netting the winner on the hour mark.

Fylde goalkeeper Theo Richardson produced a brilliant save from Callum Reynolds’ header in the first half.

Passley found the breakthrough, finishing into the top corner from a tight angle.

Leaders Chesterfield saw their 13-match unbeaten run in the National League come to an end after a 2-1 defeat at Southend.

The Spireites, who had won 12 times during that streak, including the last five, opened the scoring in the 27th minute through striker Will Grigg.

The 32-year-old former Northern Ireland international took his tally to five goals in four league games when pouncing from close range from a Michael Jacobs cross.

But two goals inside three second-half minutes turned the game on its head as Jack Bridge levelled from the penalty spot on the hour after Harry Taylor was fouled by Branden Horton.

Chesterfield goalkeeper Harry Tyrer, who earlier made a fantastic save to keep out Bridge’s volley, then allowed Wes Fonguck’s cross, which took a deflection off Darren Oldaker, to slip underneath him.

Hartlepool boss John Askey claimed victory over his former side York as Pools ended a run of four matches without a win with a 3-1 victory.

Jake Hastie fired the visitors ahead after six minutes, firing in after a strong run down the right.

Askey’s side were 2-0 up after 15 minutes when Tom Crawford’s low strike found the bottom corner.

Nicky Featherstone made it 3-0 five minutes after the break as Hartlepool put the game to bed.

York, who are in the bottom four of the Vanarama National League, grabbed a late consolation through Tyler Cordner.

James Norwood’s second-half strike helped Oldham return to winning ways in the National League by beating managerless Woking 1-0 at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

The 33-year-old striker produced a composed finish just past the hour mark after being played in by Devarn Green as the Latics snapped a three-game winless league run.

Dan Gardner nearly doubled Oldham’s lead five minutes later but his effort crashed against the underside of the crossbar.

Prior to Norwood breaking the deadlock, Woking goalkeeper Alexis Andre made several fine saves to deny Dan Ward, Norwood and Charlie Raglan.

Woking sacked manager Darren Sarll this week and put Ian Day in temporary charge after a run of seven defeats in nine games.

They went close early on when striker Dennon Lewis saw his fierce strike well saved by Oldham goalkeeper Matthew Hudson.

Rochdale recorded just their second win in nine as they fought back for a narrow 2-1 National League victory over Aldershot.

The visitors took the lead after 37 minutes as Jack Barham’s close-range strike from Lorent Tolaj’s cross went in off the post.

Five minutes later, Dale equalised with a scrappy goal as Jimmy Keohane tapped the ball home from close range for his fifth league goal of the season after Jesurun Uchegbulam had his initial shot saved by the diving Jordi Van Stappershoef.

The hosts’ second-half pressure paid off as summer signing Kairo Mitchell headed home the winner 10 minutes from time following a corner and some great team play.

Tommy Willard fired wide from range in a bid for a late equaliser at the death but Shots went home empty-handed.

Kidderminster remain bottom of the National League after a 1-0 home defeat to Dagenham.

Tom Eastman netted the winner – his second goal in as many matches – in the 82nd minute.

The hosts had the best chance of the first half when Amari Morgan-Smith found Bailey Hobson inside the area and his shot was well saved by Elliot Justham.

Jake Hessenthaler missed a great opportunity for Dagenham, nodding over from eight yards, before Eastman powered in a header from a corner to secure Daggers’ third consecutive away win.

Halifax climbed into the National League play-off spots with a 1-0 home victory over Wealdstone.

Millenic Alli netted the winner – his fifth goal of the season – in the 66th minute to condemn the Stones to their eighth consecutive away loss.

Alli was denied by Wealdstone goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst in the first half.

But Dewhurst could do nothing to prevent Alli finding the net after the hosts hit Wealdstone on the break, securing Halifax a third consecutive home win.

Solihull came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory at Dagenham in the National League.

Dagenham began on the front foot and almost took the lead through Freddie Sears but he rattled the crossbar in the 32nd minute.

The hosts went ahead in the 44th minute through Tom Eastman but Solihull were level by the break through Jay Benn’s strike in first-half stoppage time.

Josh Kelly sealed the points for the visitors four minutes after the restart with a brilliant curling effort to climb up to third, 10 points behind leaders Chesterfield.

Aldershot kept themselves in the top six of the Vanarama National League with a hard-fought 1-0 win over rock-bottom Kidderminster at the EEB Stadium.

The Shots had won 7-4 at Swindon in the FA Cup last weekend and made another positive start here to take the lead in the 24th minute.

Cian Harries sent a long ball forward, which was flicked on by Lorent Tolaj and Josh Stokes drilled his shot into the bottom corner.

Kidderminster threatened early in the second half when Amari Morgan-Smith set up Ben Tollitt, but the midfielder’s shot was off target.

With 20 minutes left, Harriers captain Krystian Pearce fired over from close range following a long throw into the box and Morgan-Smith saw a late header deflected wide as Aldershot held on for the win.
