Jamaica is set to make history as the host of the inaugural CAZOVA U17 Boys and Girls Volleyball Championship, scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 4, 2025. This groundbreaking tournament will serve as a qualification event for the FIVB U17 World Championships, further cementing Jamaica’s position as a growing force in regional volleyball.
The announcement follows the successful staging of the 2024 CAZOVA U19 Boys and Girls Volleyball Championships at GC Foster College, where Jamaica’s National U19 Girls’ Team achieved a historic milestone by securing its first-ever championship title at this age group.
Adding to the country’s volleyball accomplishments, Jamaica has officially qualified for the U21 NORCECA Pan American Cup, which will be held in Costa Rica from July 20-28, 2025. This marks a significant step forward in the development of Jamaican volleyball, as it will be the first time the country competes at this level and age group in this gender category.
The Jamaica Volleyball Association (JaVA) remains steadfast in its commitment to the growth and success of the sport, aiming to participate in all CAZOVA age-group championships to ensure national teams gain valuable international experience and exposure. In addition, the Senior Women’s National Team is set to defend its historic championship title later this year, as Jamaica continues to build on its momentum in regional and international volleyball.
