Jamaican-born former Bellator MMA welterweight champion Jason Jackson will be competing in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) welterweight tournament. The 34-year-old will be competing on April 3 in Orlando, Florida against an opponent yet to be determined.

Prior to his fight, Jackson will be holding an open workout and a press conference in Jamaica, more specifically at the Funrobics Fit Like a Fighter Club in Portmore, St. Catherine, on March 1st from 10am-11am.

An hour later, Jackson will host a fighter seminar at the same venue where he will offer guidance to upcoming fighters on sharpening technique and mindset.

Born on October 30, 1990, in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Jackson transitioned to professional MMA in 2012.

Competing in the Welterweight division, he boasts an impressive professional record of 23 fights, with 18 wins—6 by knockout, 3 by submission, and 9 by decision.

Jackson has held titles in several large MMA promotions. He is a former PFL Grand Prix Champion, Titan FC Champion and Legacy Fighting Alliance Champion and is a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter reality series.

He is passionate about building MMA in Jamaica and aims to inspire local fighters through training seminars, emphasizing representation and growth within the sport.

Upon returning to Jamaica, Jackson seeks to connect with local fighters and develop training seminars in St. Catherine.

His commitment to represent Jamaica internationally will spotlight the country’s evolving MMA scene, emphasizing the potential for success and growth.

Jackson is determined to pave the way for aspiring fighters and communicate the importance of international representation for Jamaican athletes.
