There were no major upsets as all the usual contenders successfully made it through to the final of the Boys’ Open 4x400m on Friday’s fourth day of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Jamaica College were fastest in the heats with 3:11.53 ahead of Calabar High (3:11.73) and defending champions Kingston College (3:12.84).
Holmwood Technical also advanced as heat winners thanks to their 3:13.64 clocking.
Edwin Allen (3:13.21), STETHS (3:14.92), Excelsior (3:15.80) and Cornwall College (3:19.46) will make up the field in the final set to being an end to the championships on Saturday.
