Kingston College secured a fourth-consecutive hold on the Mortimer Geddes Trophy with a dominant victory on day five of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Just like they did in 2024, KC completed the day’s proceedings with victory in the Boys 4x400m final in an excellent 3:07.46 ahead of Calabar High (3:08.60) and Jamaica College (3:08.61).
KC also secured medals in both the Sprint Medley and 5000m.
Their quartet took bronze in the medley with a time of 3:32.32, finishing behind St. George’s College (3:30.18) and JC (3:29.92) before Chris Wanjiku secured bronze in the 5000m final behind St. Jago’s Ryan Achau and JC’s Evans Tetteh.
Also, late on Saturday, KC’s Amani Phillips produced a record 15.66m to take gold in the Class Two triple jump, adding to his long jump gold won earlier in the week.
Excelsior’s Khi-Anthony Hall was second with 14.31m while KC’s Demario Clarke took bronze with 14.19m.
In the overall points standings, KC finished with 293 points while Calabar were a distant second with 229.25 and JC third with 207.
St. Jago High (135) and Excelsior High (78) rounded out the top five.
