Struggling Woking slipped to second from bottom in the Vanarama National League table despite coming from behind to draw 1-1 against Wealdstone.

It took until the last minute of the first half for the first noteworthy chance of the afternoon when Jayden Luker brought down a long punt upfield from goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen and fired in a shot that was saved by Marcus Dewhurst.

The visitors made a bright start to the second half and after Tarryn Allarakhia had sent one effort inches wide and brought a save from Jaaskelainen with another, Nathan Ferguson opened the scoring with a smart finish at the far post in the 66th minute.

Curtis Edwards hit a post as Woking looked for an immediate response, and they levelled through substitute Charley Kendall’s bullet header in the 78th minute.

Oldham’s promotion hopes suffered a setback as they slumped to a 2-1 home defeat to National League strugglers Kidderminster.

Alex Penny put Harriers in front in some style in the 22nd minute, striding forward from midfield before letting fly with a shot from distance which nestled in the net.

Nathan Sheron levelled four minutes into the second half, finishing from inside the area, but Kidderminster were back in front nine minutes later.

Ashley Hemmings swung in a corner which Reiss McNally headed home.

And this time there was no response from the hosts as Harriers boosted their survival hopes.

Eastleigh earned back-to-back National League wins after beating promotion hopefuls Bromley 2-0.

The hosts had a chance in the first half through Scott Quigley and Bromley goalkeeper Grant Smith made a great save to deny Jake Taylor just before the break.

An energetic start to the second half saw Michael Cheek and Paul McCallum come close for Bromley, but Quigley eventually fired the Spitfires ahead in the 64th minute, rolling the ball into the bottom left corner from the edge of the box.

McCallum wrapped up victory in the 79th minute, nodding home his 26th league goal of the season for Eastleigh.

Southend are outside the National League relegation zone on goal difference after Danny Waldron’s second-half winner sent them to a 2-1 victory away at Maidenhead.

With 11 sides separated by only four points, the visitors earned a crucial win that left their opponents with just a single-point cushion on safety.

Defender Kevin Lokko’s goal just before half-time had drawn Maidenhead level as they tried in vain to avoid a fourth consecutive league defeat.

Earlier, Southend’s Adam Crowther had given his side the lead en route to claiming a first league win since January 13.

Ebbsfleet climbed out of the Vanarama National League relegation zone with a hard-fought 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Woking.

Dominic Poleon’s 18th-minute goal was enough to give the home side a welcome victory, the forward keeping his composure to clip the ball beyond goalkeeper Alexis Andre Jr.

Josh Casey cleared a Rakish Bingham shot off the line to keep Woking’s hopes of snatching a point alive, but they were unable to find an equaliser.

Substitute Charley Kendall forced goalkeeper Mark Cousins into a good save as the home side held on to secure all three points.

Josh Rees returned to haunt his former club as he scored a last-minute equaliser to give Dagenham a 2-2 draw at National League promotion hopefuls Bromley.

Bes Topalloj broke the deadlock after 43 minutes and Michael Cheek doubled the home side’s lead in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage-time.

However, Sam Ling pulled one back for the visitors with 20 minutes remaining and Rees – who enjoyed two stints at the Ravens in 2017/18 and 2019/20 – slammed home a dramatic equaliser after a goalmouth scramble.

The draw leaves second-placed Bromley 19 points behind runaway leaders Chesterfield, with the Daggers still 11th.

Will Davies rescued a much-needed point as York claimed a 1-1 National League draw with Oldham.

The play-off chasing visitors opened the scoring when Mike Fondop struck after an hour following a period of pressure.

But Davies levelled 10 minutes later to ensure the hosts took a point and dented Oldham’s play-off hopes.

They Latics dropped down to seventh to sit just a point ahead of Altrincham.

Hartlepool cut the gap on the Vanarama National League play-off places as they came from behind to beat Altrincham 3-2 at home.

The hosts fell behind to a goal from defender Matthew Kosylo just past the half-hour mark to send Phil Parkinson’s team in ahead at the break.

But Hartlepool hit back in the second half as Emmanuel Dieseruvwe scored twice in the space of three minutes – the second a penalty – and David Ferguson made it 3-1 in the 69th minute.

Dior Angus pulled one back in the final moments but could not prevent Altrincham from slipping out of the top seven.

Eastleigh’s first-half rout blew struggling Oxford City away as they ran out 5-2 winners in the Vanarama National League contest.

Paul McCallum’s brace and Ludwig Francillette’s strike had the visitors 3-0 ahead after just 10 minutes.

Francillette also hit the bar in the first half but Scott Quigley added a fourth seven minutes before the break.

Rock bottom Oxford conceded a fifth five minutes into the second half when Jake Taylor netted, before the hosts pulled goals back through Alfie Potter and Levi Lumeka.

A late goal from Kwame Thomas gave Aldershot Town a 1-0 win over promotion rivals Barnet, lifting them up to fifth in the Vanarama National League.

Chances were few and far between in a disappointing first half and it looked as if the game would end goalless when Jack Barham’s 80th-minute goal was disallowed for offside.

The home side were not to be denied though, Thomas getting a vital touch on a shot from Tyler Frost to divert the ball beyond Bees goalkeeper Josh Keeley.

Barnet were unable to find an equaliser in the seven minutes of stoppage time as they failed to take advantage of second-placed Bromley being held to a 2-2 draw by Dagenham & Redbridge.

Gateshead moved into the National League play-off places as a goal in each half helped them to a 2-0 win away at struggling Kidderminster.

Defender Callum Whelan was first to the rebound to hammer home after Marcus Dinanga’s shot had been pushed out by goalkeeper Christian Dibble.

Mamadou Jobe doubled the lead just after the hour mark to wrap up the win.

The defeat left second-bottom Kidderminster still five points from safety as their five-game unbeaten run in the league came to an end.

Solihull Moors fought back from two goals down to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to four games with a 2-2 draw at AFC Fylde.

The home side took the lead after just six minutes through Nick Haughton and doubled their lead before the midway point of the first half thanks to Danny Ormerod.

However, Jack Stevens pulled one back before the interval and Joe Sbarra equalised with his first National League goal of the season in the 64th minute.

Both sides had chances to claim all three points with Josh Kay coming closest for Fylde with a shot which hit the crossbar.

Aldershot bounced back from their midweek mauling with an impressive 2-0 victory over rival play-off hopefuls Altrincham at the EBB Stadium.

The Shots were thrashed 5-0 at home by Fylde on Tuesday – their first defeat in five games – but goals from Tyler Frost and Lorent Tolaj saw them down Altrincham.

Both goals came right at the end of an evenly-matched first period, with Frost breaking the deadlock with a thunderous left-footed strike into the top corner after latching onto a half-cleared cross.

Tommy Widdrington’s men then doubled their lead three minutes into first-half stoppage time following a rapid counter-attack.

Jack Barham’s low shot was pushed out by visiting keeper Matt Gould and Shots’ top scorer Tolaj pounced to rifle in his 15th league goal of the season.

There was no way back for Phil Parkinson’s men after that as Aldershot, aided by their first clean sheet since December, held on for a victory that leaves them seventh, one point behind fifth-placed Altrincham.

Gateshead boosted their bid for a National League play-off place with a 4-2 victory at Wealdstone.

Three goals inside the opening 17 minutes blew the home side away as Gateshead extended their unbeaten league run to four games.

Mamadou Jobe headed in Callum Whelan’s cross in the fifth minute, Kieron Evans slotted in a second seven minutes later before top scorer Marcus Dinanga notched his 14th league goal of the season.

Tarryn Allarakhia pulled a goal back seven minutes before the break, curling his effort into the top corner from 25 yards.

But Louis Storey restored Gateshead’s three-goal cushion five minutes into the second half, with Jaydn Mundle-Smith grabbing a second for Wealdstone in the 66th minute.

Draw specialists York remain in a National League relegation battle after a 1-1 stalemate with Dagenham.

Jake Hessenthaler gave the visitors to the LNER Community Stadium the lead by heading in an in-swinging corner in the 11th minute.

York were level when Ryan Fallowfield poked in a cross from Danny Amos two minutes before half-time.

But the Minstermen could not find a winner and a 14th draw of the season – the most in the division – left them three points above the bottom four.
