The St. Kitts & Nevis Football Association will hold their presidential elections on Sunday, January 12 at the 2025 SKNFA Extraordinary Congress at the NBGC Technical Center.
Incumbent president of the last four years, Atiba Harris, will be vying for re-election against Jeffrey Hazel, former SKNFA Technical Director.
In an open letter addressed to SKNFA member clubs on Wednesday, Harris reminisced on his four years as the SKNFA’s top man.
“Over the last four years, the St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) has embarked on a transformative journey under my stewardship as President. Together, we have redefined what football can achieve, elevating our players, clubs, and the beautiful game to unprecedented heights,” he said.
Harris, a former professional footballer himself, then went into some of the improvements made in football in the country during his tenure, so far, including the completion of the state-of-the-art playing surface at the Technical Center, launch of a national elite youth academy to nurture young talent (male and female) as well as the introduction of a structured Women’s League to name a few.
He then went into plans for the next four years if he is re-elected as President on the 12th including the construction of a national football stadium and elevating the SKNFA Premier League to a professional standard.
Another eye-catching goal of Harris if re-elected is the introduction of a digital platform for player statistics, match analysis, and fan engagement.
“Together, we present a progressive vision that not only celebrates our collective achievements but also sets a bold agenda for the next four years,” Harris said.
