Liguanea United FC delivered a commanding performance in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Wray and Nephew Major League on Sunday, thrashing Pembroke Hall FC 5-0 in one of the standout results of the round.
Dwayne Smith led the charge with a brilliant brace, while Tafari Anderson, Rolando Barnett, and Anthony Greenland each added a goal to seal an emphatic victory for Liguanea. Pembroke Hall had no answers for the relentless attack, as they struggled to contain the sharp movement and clinical finishing of their opponents.
Elsewhere in Zone A, Cooreville Gardens FC and Maxfield Park FC played out a 1-1 draw. Dario Dacres found the back of the net for Cooreville, while Maxfield Park managed to salvage a point. Seaview Gardens FC and Red Hills FC also battled to an entertaining 2-2 draw, with Omarion Mossias and Romario Watson scoring for Seaview, while Donovan Segree and L. Rose struck for Red Hills in an evenly contested affair.
In Zone B, Allman Woodford FC and Mountain View FC ended with a 1-1 stalemate, with Dario Dacres scoring once again, this time for Allman Woodford. Meanwhile, both New Kingston FC vs. Central Kingston FC and Bull Bay FC vs. Rockfort FC failed to produce goals, as both fixtures ended in goalless draws.
The latest round of matches showcased Liguanea United’s dominance, as well as a competitive league where teams continue to battle for crucial points in their bid for progression.
