Reigning Jamaica Women’s Premier League (JWPL) champions Frazsiers Whip sent a resounding message to the rest of the league when they thrashed Los Perfectos 7-1 in an early top-of-the-table clash at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Saturday.
With the emphatic victory, Frazsiers Whip made it three wins in as many games and moved to nine points—two clear of Cavalier, who climbed to second with a 2-0 win over UWI. Los Perfectos, meanwhile, slipped to third after the defeat, which was their first of the season.
Frazsiers Whip asserted their authority on the game early, as they once again showcased their attacking prowess with a flurry of goals that left their opponents reeling. Danisha Rattray opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Davia Richards doubled the lead just four minutes later. Casandra Smith made it three in the 28th, and effectively put the game out of reach before halftime.
Los Perfectos briefly found hope when veteran striker Venecia Reid pulled one back in the 30th minute, but that would be their only bright spot of the evening. The second half belonged entirely to Frazsiers Whip, with Rattray and Richards completing their braces in the 64th and 66th minutes, respectively. Ricquanna Richards then added a late double of her own, as she fired home in the 72nd and 79th minutes to complete the rout, which was another clear statement of intent as they have now tallied 19 goals, while conceding only one.
Meanwhile, Arnett Gardens easily got by Mile Gully 4-1 in the second game of the double-header. Shikira Douglas stole the show with a hat-trick in the 11th, 20th, and 49th minutes, as Arnett Gardens cruised to their first win of the campaign. Tuanshae Hamilton opened the scoring in the third minute, while an own goal from Annakay Richards (76th) gave Mile Gully a consolation.
Elsewhere, Wifi United bounced back from their 0-2 defeat to Los Perfectos, with a convincing 5-1 win over Springers United. The Portland-based was powered by a brace from Tashel Davis (16th, 64th) and additional goals from Evernique McLeary (41st), Tatiana Leonard (57th), and Shawrie Less (75th). Springers United took an early lead through Jordan Maxwell (fifth), but couldn’t withstand the Wifi onslaught.
At Alpha Boys Home, goals from Shanel Spence (43rd) and Kersa Thomas (57th) ensured Cavalier stayed within touching distance of the leaders, with the routine win over UWI.
In the most thrilling game of the round, Real Mobay and Proven shared the points in a six-goal thriller. Moya Thomas (13th), Kryshann Reid (40th), and Ashley Lowrie (58th) were on target for Real Mobay, while Proven got their goals from Julicia Pinnock (52nd) and Brianna Smith (83rd), along with an early own goal from Lisa Martin (fifth).

Frazsiers Whip 7, Los Perfectos 1
Arnett Gardens 4, Mile Gully 1
