Frazsiers Whip continued their relentless march at the top of the Jamaica Women’s Premier League (JWPL) standings with another commanding performance on Saturday, hammering Federal 6-0 to reinforce their status as title favourites.
It was yet another showcase of attacking depth and clinical finishing, as five different players got on the scoresheet. Davia Richards opened the floodgates in the 25th minute before Lotoya Duhaney doubled the lead just before halftime and added another in the 52nd. Danishca Rattray netted a quickfire brace—one in first-half stoppage time and the other just four minutes after Duhaney’s second—while Nevillegail Able rounded out the rout in the 61st.
Not to be outdone, Arnett Gardens delivered their own offensive explosion, blanking Proven FC 7-0 in a statement win at home. Shikira Douglas led the charge with a stunning four-goal performance, scoring in the 7th, 16th, 45th, and 58th minutes. She was ably supported by Briana Crosby, who bagged a brace (31st, 42nd), while Tuanashae Hamilton added her name to the scoresheet in the 41st.
Meanwhile, in the west, Real Mobay and Springers FC shared the spoils in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Springers struck first through Fredrick’s Finikin in the 31st minute, but Santina Cunningham equalised early in the second half to secure a point for the hosts.
Elsewhere, Mile Gully and UWI played to a goalless stalemate in a scrappy encounter where neither side could find the finishing touch.
In the day’s tightest contest, Cavalier FC edged Los Perfectos 1-0 thanks to a 26th-minute strike from Tatyana Polack, keeping the Kingston-based side in the hunt for a top-four finish.
As the league heads into the business end of the season, Frazsiers Whip continue to set the pace with a ruthless efficiency that shows no signs of slowing.
