A brace from Raldo Dyer powered Maxfield Park FC to a commanding 3-1 victory over Red Hills FC on Sunday in Zone A of the KSAFA Wray and Nephew Major League, as the second round of matches continued across the Corporate Area.

Dyer struck twice for Maxfield, while Sashane Warren also found the back of the net to secure the three points for the hosts. Odaine Whyte managed a consolation goal for Red Hills, but the visitors were outclassed over the 90 minutes.

The win bolstered Maxfield Park’s position in what is shaping up to be a competitive Zone A, where Cooreville Gardens FC also earned a crucial result, edging Liguanea United FC 1-0 away from home. Cooreville’s disciplined defense held off waves of attack to secure all three points.

In the other Zone A encounter, Seaview Gardens FC rallied to beat Pembroke Hall FC 2-1. Patrick Richards and Raniel Stephenson scored for the visitors, while Loy McDermott got on the scoresheet for Pembroke Hall, who were left ruing missed opportunities late in the second half.

Meanwhile, in Zone B, goals flowed freely at the Police Oval, where Police Nationals FC put on a dominant display to thrash Bull Bay FC 5-1. Gavin Thorpe led the way with a double, while Travis Bennett, Yashani Swaby, and Bejaun Jones also added their names to the scoresheet in the lopsided affair.

Allman/Woodford FC and Rockfort FC shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Rohan Davis scored for Allman/Woodford, while Rockfort’s response ensured they remain unbeaten in their campaign.

The scheduled Zone B fixture between Mountain View FC and Central Kingston FC did not play and was marked as DNP (Did Not Play).

With the league heating up, all eyes will be on the next round of fixtures as teams jostle for position in hopes of promotion to the Super League next season.
