The Guyana Harpy Eagles and the Trinidad & Tobago Red Force are separated by just 1.6 points heading into Wednesday’s start of the penultimate round of the 2025 West Indies Championship.
The Harpy Eagles and Red Force each have identical records of four wins and a draw in the first five rounds and have 102.6 points and 101 points, respectively.
In round six, the Harpy Eagles will travel to Warner Park in Basseterre to take on the Leeward Islands Hurricanes while the Red Force will host the Jamaica Scorpions at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
If each can gain a positive result, that could set up a winner-take-all round seven clash between the two of them from April 9-12 at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain.
The other round six games will see the Barbados Pride taking on the Windward Islands Volcanoes at the Daren Sammy Stadium in Gros Islet and the West Indies Academy facing the Combined Campuses and Colleges at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground in St. Augustine.
The points standings entering round six of seven are as follows: Guyana Harpy Eagles (102.6), Trinidad & Tobago Red Force (101), Leeward Islands Hurricanes (79.6), Barbados Pride (78), Jamaica Scorpions (59.8), Windward Islands Volcanoes (45.8), CCC (26.6), West Indies Academy (25).
