Jamaican Northern Colorado junior Jerome Campbell took silver in the men’s 60m hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach on Saturday.

The 22-year-old Campbell ran a personal best 7.49 to take silver behind Auburn sophomore Ja’Kobe Tharp who ran a personal best and facility record 7.45 to take gold.

Texas Tech sophomore Malachi Snow took bronze in 7.54. Jamaican LSU junior Jaheim Stern, Bahamian Texas Tech junior Antoine Andrews and Jamaican Arkansas junior Vashaun Vascianna ran 7.55, 7.56 and 7.64 for fifth, sixth and eighth, respectively. Stern’s time was also a personal best.

Jamaican USC senior Travis Williams ran a season’s best 6.54 for fifth in the men’s 60m. Arkansas junior Jordan Anthony took gold in 6.49 ahead of Auburn sophomore Kanyinsola Ajayi (6.52) and Auburn freshman Israel Okon (6.52).

Jamaican Kentucky junior Luke Brown narrowly missed out on a medal in the triple jump, producing 16.33m for fourth behind Oklahoma junior Brandon Green Jr (16.50m), Nebraska senior Micaylon Moore (16.52m) and Missouri sophomore Jonathan Seremes (17.04m).
