St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada played to a 1-1 draw for the second time in four days, as their international friendly at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown ended in a stalemate on Sunday.
Oryan Velox gave the home side the lead in the 41st minute with a stunning right-footed strike from outside the box. Assisted by Sherwyn, Velox’s shot found the bottom right corner, sending the home fans into celebration just before halftime.
Despite St. Vincent’s dominance in possession, Grenada found a way back into the match in the 62nd minute. The visitors were awarded a penalty after a foul inside the area, and Lukas Ankis stepped up to calmly slot home the equalizer, ensuring the Spice Boys remained level.
St. Vincent had several opportunities to regain the lead in the second half, with Velox hitting the post in the 53rd minute and missing another clear-cut chance just minutes later. Grenada also threatened late in the game, but neither side could find a breakthrough before the final whistle.
Both teams will now turn their attention to upcoming competitive fixtures. St. Vincent and the Grenadines will face Jamaica in a crucial Gold Cup qualifier on March 21, while Grenada will resume their 2026 World Cup qualification on June 4 against the Bahamas.
