Turks and Caicos Set for Thrilling Inter-High Track & Field National Championships

The best young athletes in the Turks and Caicos Islands will go head-to-head in the Inter-High Track & Field National Championships, set for March 20-22, 2025, at the National Stadium. Organized in partnership between the Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission and the Turks and Caicos Amateur Athletic Association (TCAAA), this premier national event will feature three days of high-energy competition as schools battle for individual and team glory.

The A. Louise Garland Thomas High School Hawks enter as defending champions, having dominated last year’s championships with an impressive 24 gold medals. This year, however, their rivals will be looking to dethrone them, making for an exciting showdown on the track and in the field.

Athletes from across the islands will compete in a range of track and field events, displaying their speed, strength, and endurance in pursuit of the prestigious TCISS Championship Trophy.

The championships will bring together sports enthusiasts, families, and school supporters, all eager to witness the future of Turks and Caicos athletics. With affordable ticket prices—$10 for adults and $5 for students/children per day—the event is expected to draw a large and enthusiastic crowd.

For fans unable to attend in person, the action will be live-streamed on the TCI Sports Commission Facebook page and YouTube channel, ensuring that viewers from across the islands and beyond can follow every race, jump, and throw.

The event is made possible through the support of key sponsors who continue to invest in the development of youth sports in the Turks and Caicos Islands. InterCaribbean Airways, Waterloo Holdings Ltd., Graceway Supermarkets, Provo Water, Grace Bay Pharmacy, NW Hamilton Insurance, Grace Bay Resorts Foundation, and Rubis have all contributed to ensuring the growth and success of this national sporting event.

With national pride at stake, the Inter-High Track & Field National Championships promises to be an unforgettable spectacle of athleticism and determination. As young athletes push their limits and compete for the ultimate prize, the event will continue to inspire the next generation of track and field stars in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
