Max Wright put the Shaymen in front in the 34th minute when he found the bottom corner with a shot from the edge of the area.
Pools levelled just four minutes later when Emmanuel Dieseruvwe converted Nicky Featherstone’s corner.
But Senior won it just three minutes after the restart when he poked home from a corner.
Rob Harker’s first-half goal proved the difference at a sunny Crown Oil Arena as the visitors climbed above their opponents.
Rochdale goalkeeper Louie Moulden did well to keep the scores level in the ninth minute when he tipped Andrew Oluwabori’s 25-yard effort onto the bar.
However, Moulden could do nothing to prevent Harker giving the visitors the lead 13 minutes later, the forward finding the net after Angelo Cappello had won possession and found him with a precise pass.
Rochdale took the lead when Ian Henderson smashed the ball home from close range following an assist from Tyrone Sinclair.
Halifax hit-back with two goals in four minutes to leave the visitors reeling when Aaron Cosgrave steered in a pinpoint cross before Jamie Stott was on target from the penalty spot.
But Rochdale had the final say through a superb effort from Jimmy Keohane, who showed skill and determination to equalise in the 68th minute.
Millenic Alli netted the winner – his fifth goal of the season – in the 66th minute to condemn the Stones to their eighth consecutive away loss.
Alli was denied by Wealdstone goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst in the first half.
But Dewhurst could do nothing to prevent Alli finding the net after the hosts hit Wealdstone on the break, securing Halifax a third consecutive home win.
A goal in either half proved enough for the visitors as Millenic Alli’s opener was added to by Jamie Cooke.
Alli struck nine minutes before the break with a finish from the edge of the box and the points were secured when Cooke hit a long-range effort, with Chris Conn-Clarke scoring a late consolation for the hosts.
The win takes Halifax level on 39 points with sixth-placed Altrincham, with only a superior goal difference keeping the home side ahead.
Former Grimsby and Wrexham midfielder Luke Summerfield gave the Shaymen a first-half lead when scoring direct from a corner.
Kosovan midfielder Florent Hoti doubled Halifax’s lead in the 34th minute with a superb effort from outside the penalty area.
Woking hit back in the second half as Dennon Lewis cut inside and drilled a low finish into the bottom corner.
The visitors pressed for an equaliser and Scott Cuthbert headed narrowly over in stoppage time before Halifax’s Andrew Oluwabori was denied at the near post by Woking goalkeeper Alexis Andre.
Hallam Hope put the Latics ahead inside six minutes, finding the net against Rochdale for the second time this season following a penetrating run from Josh Lundstram.
Rochdale levelled after 27 minutes when Sam Mather got the decisive touch at a corner directed to the near post for the ball to trickle over the line.
Both sides had chances to take three points before a near-9,000 crowd, with Oldham striker Andy Dallas unfortunate to see his well-struck effort bounce off a post.
The 2-1 loss means the hosts have won just one of their opening 12 games of the new campaign.
In-form Devarn Green opened the scoring for the Latics with a fine strike which separated the sides at the interval.
Bailey Hobson tapped home from close-range to level for Kidderminster just after the hour but the points would head back to Oldham as Alex Reid’s emphatic 78th-minute strike sealed the win.
It was a spirited start from the visiting Southend as they took the lead in the 19th minute when Jack Bridge’s low cross was turned in by Cardwell, who also scored in last week’s 4-0 win over Oldham.
Cardwell might have had his and Southend’s second soon after but his header was saved before the rebound was spectacularly cleared off the line by Dagenham defender Tom Eastman.
Noor Husin saw his effort whistle just wide in the second half as Southend continued to put Dagenham, who opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Altrincham last week, under pressure.
But it was not until the second minute of added-on time that they made sure of all three points. For the second time in two games, Coker came off the bench to score, curling home from just outside the box.
Cardwell had reached double figures in quick time for Kevin Maher’s side this season, but failed to find the net since October 7 ahead of the clash in the north-east.
Promotion hopefuls Gateshead made a strong start and took the lead when Stephen Wearne grabbed his 10th goal of the season with a fine strike after 14 minutes.
It remained 1-0 until half-time before both teams hit the woodwork after the break with Jack Wood firing against the crossbar for Southend and Jordan Hunter hitting the post for the hosts.
A second goal of the game did eventually arrive with 15 minutes left when Gus Scott-Morriss had an effort saved by Archie Mair but Cardwell was on hand to slot home the rebound for his 12th goal of the campaign.

Akinyemi grabbed a consolation for York in stoppage time but it was too late.
The first big chance fell to Southend’s Gus Scott-Morriss after he got on the end of Nathan Ralph’s cross at the far post but his effort was well blocked.
Down the other end, Emmanuel Dieseruvwe set up Brennan Dickenson for a shot that was saved while Henry Sandat headed over for Southend in the early stages of the second half.
Dickenson continued to be a danger, forcing the keeper into a low save and then heading over, while the final chance fell to Harry Cardwell, who also headed just off target.
The hosts, who appointed Lennie Lawrence as caretaker manager on Wednesday following the sacking of John Askey last month, held the upper hand for most of the match.
Joe Grey cracked an early effort against the bar and Anthony Mancini brought a good save out of Jack Bycroft.
Tom Crawford lashed Hartlepool in front on 56 minutes when he fired home on the rebound, and Grey’s effort from close range doubled their lead five minutes later.
City, who went into the game with just one league win in their last seven, reduced the deficit when Seydil Toure scored in the 77th minute.

Moments after Sydney Ibie blazed over a decent opportunity for Dagenham, the visitors took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Sam Ling diverted Oliver Finney’s delivery into his own net.
Pools goalkeeper Peter Jameson then saved from Ibie and Harry Phipps either side of the break before Ryan Hill shot wide for Daggers with five minutes left.
Dagenham pushed hard for the equaliser and Jameson produced a stunning save to deny Omar Mussa in stoppage time.
Hartlepool held on to post a first victory in four games while Dagenham’s winless run stretched to four.
Pools, who were dealt a significant double injury blow this week with the loss of Anthony Mancini and Dan Dodds for the season, took the lead from their first noteworthy attack in the 11th minute. Joe Grey held the ball up for Tom Crawford and his first-time shot beat goalkeeper Jed Ward.
The home side should have doubled their advantage after 18 minutes when Callum Cooke dispossessed a defender in the box but fired his effort straight at Ward.
Grey let fly with a strike from distance early in the second half which was palmed away by Ward and the same player blazed over from six yards shortly afterwards.
Tahvon Campbell brought a decent save from Pete Jameson after 57 minutes and Jack Cook was inches away with a header as Wealdstone responded.
Hartlepool made it 2-0 with a towering header from Dieseruvwe after 68 minutes but Wealdstone substitute Tarryn Allarakhia pulled one back with a curling effort five minutes later.
Jameson pulled off a stunning save to keep out sub Olufela Olomola’s long-range effort, while Charles Barker grazed the crossbar in stoppage time as Hartlepool were holding on at the death.
The Wanderers took a seventh-minute lead through Charlie Carter as they looked to end a 10-match winless run in the National League.
But Dieseruvwe twice found the far top corner from the left edge of the penalty area, either side of Barry Fuller’s own goal, to give Pools a 3-1 half-time lead.
Dorking responded six minutes into the second period with a wonderful individual effort from Jimmy Muitt but Joe Grey lashed home soon after to restore the two-goal advantage.
Muitt slotted home his second with 13 minutes left but Pools withstood some late pressure to clinch a top-half finish.
Jack Bridge provided the hosts with an early lead, opening the scoring just four minutes in.
Tom Crawford cancelled out the Shrimpers’ lead, putting Hartlepool level in the 27th minute.
Southend restored their advantage courtesy of Gus Scott-Morriss after 52 minutes before Pools substitute Joe Grey equalised for the visitors five minutes later.
Pools sealed all three points after Seaman’s strike with 17 minutes remaining handed them the lead for the first time.
