Andrew follows up first innings 122 with 65, Thomas takes 5-36 as Hurricanes decimate CCC by 373 runs at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium

The Leeward Islands Hurricanes completed a comfortable 373-run win over the Combined Campuses and Colleges on day three of their round five West Indies Championship encounter at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Friday.

The Hurricanes began day three with a lead of 349 runs and piled on the runs to make the CCC chase harder by the second.

Jewel Andrew followed up his first innings hundred with 65 off 58 balls in the second innings including eight fours and a six while Jahmar Hamilton finished 42* off 56 balls as the Hurricanes posted 249-7 declared in 53 overs, leaving CCC needing 504 to win.

Akeem Jordan and Chemar Holder were once again good with the ball for CCC with 3-50 from 15 overs and 3-64 from 17 overs, respectively.

Oshane Thomas then took a career-best 5-36 from 13.1 overs as the CCC were restricted to 131-9 in their second innings, batting a man short.

In the midst of the carnage at the other end, Kyle Corbin finished 58* off 72 balls.

Alzarri Joseph picked up 3-19 from 12 overs in support to finish with nine wickets in the match.
