Kingston College got a crucial 16 points in the Class One Boys 400m final on day three of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships at the National Stadium on Thursday.
Tahj-Marques White, who missed champs last year with injury after winning 200m and 400m gold in Class Two in 2023, took gold in a personal best 45.84 ahead of teammate and last year’s champion, Marcinho Rose, who also ran a personal best 45.90 in second.
Holmwood Technical’s Omarie Williamson ran 46.66 to take bronze.
KC also took gold in Class Two through Jason Pitter who won in 47.92 ahead of Calabar’s Diwayne Sharpe (48.30) and Denbigh High’s Chanton White (48.56).

Calabar took the top two spots in Class Three through Rajeve Allison (50.33) and Justin McKoy (50.66) while Lacovia’s Nicholas Jones took bronze in 50.73.

After 15 finals completed on the Boys’ side, defending champions Kingston College have the lead in the points standings with 99.5 points. Calabar High are second with 76 while Jamaica College are third with 54. St. Jago High (31) and Wolmer’s Boys (27) complete the top five.
