Titchfield’s Shavan Jarrett produced an excellent performance to claim Class One Boys 800m gold on Saturday’s fifth and final day of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Jarrett, who looked a class above the rest in both the heats and semi-finals, looked equally easy on his way to gold in the final in 1:50.40.

Edwin Allen’s Joel Morgan ran 1:51.46 for silver while Alphansus Davis’ Raheem Palmer took bronze in 1:51.88.

William Knibb’s Thywaine Sterling took gold in Class Two to add to his 1500m title in 1:54.88. Sydney Pagon’s Luke Plummer took silver in 1:56.39 while St. Mary High’s Rasheed Grant ran 1:56.72 for bronze.

In Class Three, St. Jago High’s Khieme Campbell took gold in 2:03.07 ahead of Wolmer’s Boys’ Alfario Cunningham (2:04.61) and JC’s Marcardo Williams (2:05.05).
