Bromley powered past Solihull by a 3-0 score to consolidate their bid for a Vanarama National League play-offs semi-final spot.

Only two points separated the teams before kick-off, but an excellent first-half by the Ravens put them on the verge of clinching a third-placed finish in the division.

Goals by Michael Cheek and Jude Arthurs put Bromley in control and Ben Krauhaus added a late third to down Solihull, who have dropped to fifth in the table and can no longer finish in the top-three.

Visiting Solihull knew only a victory would keep alive their faint hopes of leapfrogging Bromley, but they went behind after 23 minutes.

Cheek smashed home from the penalty spot after Krauhaus had been fouled inside the area and Arthurs made it 2-0 before the break when he found the net from close-range.

Krauhaus wrapped up a crucial three points for Bromley after Ashley Charles had been denied five minutes from time.

It earned the hosts’ a semblance of revenge after Solihull had defeated them a week ago to reach the FA Trophy final.

Kidderminster’s relegation from the Vanarama National League was confirmed after a 1-0 defeat by Eastleigh at Aggborough Stadium.

The Spitfires took the lead in the 32nd minute when Paul McCallum headed in a cross from Jake Vokins.

Kidderminster rallied in the second half and had several late chances to snatch an equaliser.

Jack Lambert saw his goal-bound effort saved by Eastleigh goalkeeper Joe McDonnell, who then denied Jay Emmanuel-Thomas before captain Amari Morgan-Smith nodded wide as Kidderminster’s fate was sealed.

Southend kept alive their faint Vanarama National League play-off hopes with a 2-0 win at AFC Fylde.

The Blues, who were battling relegation earlier in the campaign, started the day four points behind seventh-placed Halifax but had to wait until the second half to break the deadlock.

Danny Waldron opened the scoring in the 52nd-minute before Harry Cardwell wrapped up the victory to help Southend move within a point of Halifax, although they have played twice more than their play-off rivals.

Waldron looked set for a frustrating afternoon after he had two first-half efforts cleared off the goal line.

Fylde did hit the post through Owen Evans but Southend went ahead seven minutes into the second period when Waldron headed home a Harry Taylor cross.

Chances kept on coming for Southend and Cardwell sealed the victory in the 72nd-minute when he glanced home from Cav Miley’s centre to earn Kevin Maher’s team a hard-fought win.

Gateshead saw their Vanarama National League play-off push dented with a 2-0 defeat at Fylde.

There was a stoppage mid-way through the first half when Gateshead defender Joe Cook tried to get on the end of a free-kick and slid off the pitch into the advertising boards. After receiving treatment, Cook was back on his feet, but was swiftly substituted.

Fylde, aiming to keep themselves clear of the relegation battle, threatened just before the break when a corner was not cleared and Connor Barrett’s low shot was saved by Gateshead goalkeeper Eddie Beach.

The Coasters built on a bright start to the second half when midfielder Ethan Mitchell slotted in from a corner with 15 minutes left and Jonathan Ustabasi stabbed home a late second to secure the points.

Relegation threatened Dorking let a two-goal lead slip as they were beaten at Wealdstone in the Vanarama National League.

Dorking could have moved level on points with their hosts in the battle to avoid the drop but were eventually beaten 4-2 at Grosvenor Vale.

Luke Moore opened the scoring for the visitors early in the second half with Charlie Carter’s effort extending the lead.

Wealdstone, though, fought back as Mason Barrett pulled one back before a quick-fire Max Kretzschmar double and a Tarryn Allarakhia goal completed a comeback to ease the home side’s own relegation concerns.

Southend kept alive their slim hopes of reaching the National League play-offs with a 2-1 comeback victory away to Wealdstone.

The visitors had to come from behind after Manny Duku had scored midway through the first half to give struggling Wealdstone the lead.

At that stage they looked set to put three points between themselves and the relegation zone, but they remained clear only on goal difference after Southend struck back to win.

Nathan Ralph netted on the stroke of half-time to level before fellow defender Cavanagh Miley won it after 64 minutes.

Bromley secured a National League play-off place as Louis Dennis’ equaliser earned them a 1-1 draw at fellow promotion chasers Barnet.

Substitute Dennis struck a 75th-minute leveller at the Hive having been teed up by Ben Krauhaus to cancel out Idris Kanu’s 54th-minute opener.

Both sides hit the woodwork, Dale Gorman doing so for Barnet late in the first half and Kamarl Grant then seeing a shot coming off a post with the score at 1-1.

Bromley stay third, five points behind Barnet and two clear of fourth-placed Solihull having played a game less than both.

Solihull all but confirmed their place in the National League play-offs with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Ebbsfleet.

Midfielder Tyrese Shade opened the scoring after 19 minutes, getting on the end of a pass from James Clarke who got forward with a driving run and finishing low into the corner.

Captain Jamey Osborne scored with a deflected strike from outside the box with 20 minutes to play, before Shade grabbed his second and Solihull’s third late on to seal it.

The defeat leaves Ebbsfleet still five points clear of the relegation places in 18th.

Maidenhead made sure of their National League status with a 3-1 win over Hartlepool.

They went ahead in the 13th minute when Casey Pettit converted Will De Havilland’s knock down.

Callum Cooke’s brilliant volley brought Hartlepool level after the break but two goals in nine minutes sealed it for the hosts.

Tom Beckwith made it 2-1 in the 75th minute with a deflected shot from the edge of the area and Shawn McCoulsky sealed it with a tap-in.

Birthday boy Max Wright celebrated in style as he fired Halifax into the National League play-off places with both goals in a 2-0 victory at struggling Kidderminster.

Town striker Rob Harker found himself in on goal with 15 minutes gone but shot over and Luke Summerfield went wide from distance with the visitors making the early running.

Charlie Weston flashed a 26th-minute effort wide and Amari Morgan-Smith stabbed just off target as the home side responded.

Weston fired across goal within six minutes of the restart at a blustery Aggborough but it was the Shaymen who took the lead with 25 minutes remaining when Wright chipped over goalkeeper Christian Dibble.

The 26-year-old’s birthday took a further turn for the better with a minute remaining when he doubled his tally to wrap up the win.

Dorking secured a valuable point in their relegation fight by holding promotion-chasing Altrincham to a draw in the National League.

The fourth-placed visitors went into the game hoping to put pressure on the teams above them but had George Wilson sent off late on and had to settle for a point in a 0-0 stalemate.

Dorking were lucky not to concede an early goal when a deflected cross from Regan Linney hit the crossbar but both goalkeepers were forced to make good saves to keep the game goalless.

Altrincham were then reduced to 10 men in second-half injury time when Wilson was shown a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident.

Substitute Jayden Luker’s goal proved the difference as Woking edged five points clear of the National League drop zone with a 3-2 win over Dagenham.

The hosts took a fifth-minute lead when Jermaine Anderson fired home after Luke Wilkinson had challenged goalkeeper Elliot Justham.

But they were ahead for just six minutes as Josh Rees flicked on a Justham free-kick and Ryan Hill levelled.

Daggers went close to a second when Inih Effiong headed over and keeper Will Jaaskelainen clawed away another attempt from Hill before Rees missed an open goal just before half-time.

Woking went ahead with five minutes remaining when Kevin Berkoe lifted the ball over Justham after being fed by Luker.

Luker made it 3-1 three minutes into stoppage time before Conor Lawless reduced the deficit but ultimately to no avail.

Boreham Wood thumped Wealdstone 4-0 in a huge match at the bottom of the National League table.

The Wood began the day three points below their opponents but moved level and boosted their goal difference on a profitable afternoon.

Kabongo Tshimanga scored the only goal of an even first half in the ninth minute but the hosts seized control of the contest from the hour mark, when Billy Sass-Davies grabbed their second.

A fine finish from Matt Robinson made it three 10 minutes later, with Lee Ndlovu wrapping up the scoring in the 74th minute.

Nicke Kabamba’s stoppage time penalty earned Barnet a 2-2 draw at Maidenhead.

Jayden Mitchell-Lawson struck for the hosts after nine minutes, tapping into an empty net after Tristan Abrahams’ shot deflected into his path.

Maidenhead doubled their lead shortly after the break when Abrahams put Shawn McCoulsky through on goal and he squared for Reece Smith to finish.

But Callum Stead pulled one back with 20 minutes left and Kabamba converted his spot-kick four minutes into stoppage time for his 50th Barnet goal.

Aldershot’s play-off hopes suffered a blow as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Hartlepool.

Emmanuel Dieseruvwe fired the hosts into an 18th-minute lead from the penalty spot after he was tripped in the area for his 23rd goal of the season.

Aldershot pushed for an equaliser and Josh Stokes was twice denied by Pools keeper Peter Jameson.

Instead Tom Parkes wrapped up the victory when he headed home from a corner three minutes from time.
