Bahamian freshman VJ Edgecombe’s Baylor Bears secured their third win in a row in NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball with a dominant 54-point victory over the Arlington Baptist Patriots at Baylor’s Foster Pavilion on Friday.
Edgecombe hit three of his 10 field goal attempts, finishing with 10 points while also grabbing six rebounds and six assists in 24 minutes of action.
The Bears scoring was led by senior forward Norchad Omier who recorded 19 points and an impressive 24 rebounds while also contributing three blocks in 26 minutes.
Edgecombe’s fellow freshman guard Robert Wright III had 13 points and nine assists in 25 minutes off the bench for the now 8-3 Bears.
They will next face Utah on New Year’s Eve.
