Zach Edey praised the mentality of his teammates and reserved special praise for Jaren Jackson Jr after their win over the Toronto Raptors.

Zach Edey praised the mentality of his Memphis Grizzlies team-mates as they stormed to a thumping win over the Toronto Raptors.

The Grizzlies won 155-126, setting a new franchise-scoring record in the process, despite no player scoring more than 21 points.

No team this season has scored as high as 155 points, with Memphis boasting seven players with at least 15 points, tied for the most in a game in the history of the NBA.

Edey was one of their biggest contributors, getting 21 points and 16 rebounds, and he believes a much-improved performance after half-time was vital.

"We just needed to come out with a different mentality," said Edey.

"They were doing some stuff we'd said in the Scan Report we needed to take away, so we just focused on that.

"If you score 155 points, a lot of things are working well!"

He was also complimentary of his teammate Jaren Jackson Junior, who had 21 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

When asked what makes Jackson Jr so formidable, he said: "Just his ability to freestyle. He can get in any situation and somehow finds a way to make a shot.

"He can make shots from all over the court, it's really impressive to watch, and then, of course, everyone knows what he's like on defense."

The Grizzlies, who won for the third time in four games, are now set for five consecutive matches on the road, and Edey hopes they can take the momentum from this crushing win into those encounters.

"We've just got to lock in on what we've got to do," he said.

"It's great to get the momentum started like this, but we got to take every game like the last one didn't happen."
