Reggae Boyz striker Javon East’s time at Costa Rican outfit Deportivo Saprissa has come to an end after two and a half years, the striker announced on his Instagram account on Saturday.
“Hello purples. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for those amazing moments I had here,” East said on Saturday.
He continued: “I am very happy to be part of this amazing team for the last two and a half years. I want to give a special thanks to my teammates and fans for always being there in my good and bad times. You will always be in my heart. Thank you so much Deportivo Saprissa.”
East was excellent in his time with Saprissa, scoring 54 goals in 144 appearances and helping the club win six titles since a €325,000 move from Santos de Guapiles in July 2022.
Saprissa, in a statement of their own, thanked East for his contributions to the club in his time there.
There is no news yet as for East’s next club.
East has played 20 times for the Reggae Boyz since his debut in 2018, scoring two goals. Hos last appearance for the Reggae Boyz came against Costa Rica in 2022.
