Long serving Jamaica Football Federation stalwart Howard ‘Juicy’ Bell, retired Reggae Boyz striker Michael Tulloch and the late veteran administrator Freddie Green, were the inaugural honorees by the Jamaica Football Past Players Association at a ceremony held at the Melbourne Cricket Club in Kingston on Friday.
The trio were presented with trophies as well as citations.
Howard Bell a former star footballer at Kingston College and former Jamaica International, also made a long-lasting contribution to Jamaica's football administratively as manager of the Jamaica football teams.
Michael Tulloch, also a former Jamaican International, also represented the Jamaica Defence Force and was the team's leading marksman when they won their only Jamaica Premier League title in 1985.
The late Freddy Green was a pioneer footballer for Kingston College, captaining the school to its first Manning Cup title in 1949.
He subsequently made his name as a coach, hockey and volleyball player and was a long serving General Secretary for the Inter Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA). The award was collected by his wife, Mrs. Marva Green.
The Jamaica Past Football Players Association was founded in 1996 by current President and former Jamaica International Neville Oxford, and is an affiliate of the Jamaica Football Federation.
