A Rafeik Thomas brace powered Jamaica’s Waterhouse FC to a 3-0 over Haiti’s Don Bosco on Sunday and a spot in the semi-finals of the 2020 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship.
In the match played at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in Kingston, Waterhouse made good use of their home-field advantage. Building on a strong start, they took a 1-0 leave in the 17th minute when Thomas headed in a rebound from a shot that cannoned of the crossbar of the Haitian goal.
The home team doubled the lead in the 37th minute when Stephen Williams lashed his a shot into the left side of the visitor’s net.
At the other end, Akeem Chambers was alert and made the necessary saves to maintain the two-goal advantage.
Thomas scored his second of the night in the 66th minute to round off a strong performance.
With the result, Waterhouse (4 points) and Cibao FC (2 points) of the Dominican Republic have advanced to the FCCCC semifinals.
