17-year-old Jamaican Adanna Johnson had a credible showing at the IBSF World Championships in Lake Placid, New York over the weekend.
Competing in the Women’s Monobob against her vastly more experienced counterparts, Johnson finished 20th place.
In her four heats over two days, Johnson recorded times of 1:01.70, 1:01.44, 1:01.14 and 1:01.57 for an overall time of 4:05.85, eight seconds slower than American Kaysha Love who took gold in 3:57.82.
German Laura Nolte took silver in 3:58.26 while American Elana Meyers Taylor took bronze in 3:58.31.
