Reggae Boy Kaheim Dixon delivered a sensational performance on Tuesday night, netting a hat-trick to lead Charlton Athletic U21 to a commanding 7-0 demolition of Blackburn Rovers U21 in their Premier League Cup round-of-16 clash at Princes Park.

Dixon set the tone for Charlton’s dominance early, opening the scoring in the 10th minute with a precise right-footed strike from the centre of the box. The young Addicks doubled their advantage in the 26th minute when Toby Bower found the back of the net after being set up by Ibrahim Fullah.

Charlton continued their relentless attack, and Dixon struck again in the 34th minute, finishing clinically from close range after a well-timed assist from Kai Enslin. That goal gave the hosts a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into the break.

Blackburn Rovers made multiple substitutions at the start of the second half in an attempt to stem the tide, but Charlton showed no signs of slowing down. Just two minutes into the second period, Fullah added his name to the scoresheet, firing home a powerful shot to extend the lead to 4-0.

Patrick Casey joined the scoring spree in the 60th minute, capitalizing on a Dixon assist to make it 5-0. Five minutes later, Dixon completed his hat-trick, slotting home from the centre of the box to further punish Blackburn’s weary defence.

As the game neared its conclusion, Charlton added a final flourish. In the 87th minute, substitute Seydil Toure rose highest to meet a Bower cross, heading home to round off a night of utter dominance with a seventh goal.

Blackburn endured a night to forget, with James Edmondson and Harrison Wood receiving yellow cards in a frustrating outing for the visitors.

With the emphatic victory, Charlton U21 secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup, continuing their impressive run in the competition. Dixon’s electric display was the standout moment of a match that underscored the young Addicks’ attacking prowess and ability to overwhelm their opposition.
