The scoring machine named Khadijah ‘Bunny’ Shaw was at it again on Sunday leading Manchester City Women to an 8-1 drubbing of Bristol City in their fifth round FA Women’s Cup match at the Robins High Performance Centre.
In yet another dominating performance during which they enjoyed 75 per cent possession, Manchester City scored their eight goals from 12 shots in target against their hapless opponents who scored what amounted a consolation goal 10 minutes into the second half.
However, Shaw alone proved too much for Bristol City scoring in the 13th, 25th, 41st minutes as City took a 4-0 lead into the interval.
Filippa Angeldahl scored the fourth in first-half stoppage time.
Julie Blakstad made it 5-0 early into the second half when she scored their first of her two goals in the 53rd.
Gracie Jane Patricia Pearse made it 5-1 two minutes later.
Shaw scored her fourth in the 75th to make it 6-1 before Blakstad made it 7-1 in the 83rd.
Jemima Dahou scored Manchester City’s eighth to complete rout in stoppage time.
For her exploits, Shaw took home match ball.
