Two-time champions Settlers followed up their opening day win over Voyagers on Friday with an eight-wicket win over Titans on Saturday’s second day of the BIM10 tournament at the Windward Club Ground in St. Phillip, Barbados.

Settlers restricted Titans to 92-6 from their 10 overs after winning the toss and choosing to field first.

Zidane Clarke and Dario Cumberbatch were the top bowlers with 2-18 and 2-24, respectively, while former West Indies all-rounder Ashley Nurse made 44 off 17 balls including four fours and four sixes.

Nyeem Young also chipped in with 25.

Settlers then needed only eight overs to reach 96-2 thanks to Kevin Wickham’s 60* off 28 balls, following up his 44* in the first game on Friday.

The talented Barbados all-rounder hit five fours and five sixes in his knock. Damian Davis took both wickets to fall while conceding 20 runs.

In the day’s earlier game, Warriors secured an unprecedented one-run win over Guardians.

Warriors, after losing the toss and being put in to bat, were bowled out for a paltry 47 in 7.4 overs with pacer Jair McAllister taking an excellent 4-3 with Daniel Babb, Ryshon Williams and Jatario Prescod all taking two wickets, each, in support.

Guardians, batting a man short, were then restricted to 46-9 in nine overs, losing a nail-biter. Jayden Roberts finished 20* while Rachad Forde, Preston McSween and Sadrian Ward did the damage for Warriors with six wickets split evenly between them.

In an excellent showing of mental fortitude however, Guardians, in the final game of the day, rebounded from their embarrassing loss to defeat Voyagers by three runs.

Guardians posted 123-3 from their 10 overs after being put in to bat. Ryshon Williams led the way with 53 off 29 balls including five fours and three sixes while Athelbert Brathwaite made 37.

Despite 48* off 20 balls from former West Indies opener Dwayne Smith, Voyagers fell just short of their target, reaching 120-4 from their 10 overs in reply.

Jason Greene provided good support for Smith with 32 but an excellent spell of 2-9 from Jayden Roberts was too much to overcome.
