The Guyana Harpy Eagles will enter the seventh and final round of the 2025 West Indies Championship with a slight lead in the points standings after their sixth-round fixture with the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park ended in a draw on Saturday.

After entering day four 381-4 off 138 overs in their second innings, they scored 490-9 in 160.1 overs before declaring, leaving the Hurricanes needing 349 to win.

Captain Tevin Imlach added 20 to his overnight 103 while Kevin Sinclair made 62 after entering the day on 31.

Left-arm pacer Javier Spencer took 5-77 from 25 overs.

The Leewards then reached 147-3 in their pursuit before stumps were drawn after 50 overs.

Mikyle Louis hit 61 from 101 balls, his second fifty in the match, including five fours and two sixes while opening partner Kadeem Henry made 36.

Veerasammy Permaul took 2-27 from 18 overs.
