Tyrese Sinclair bags brace as Rochdale beat Barnet

Tyrese Sinclair ran on to Louie Moulden’s ball over the top and lifted his finish over Laurie Walker to give the hosts a 23rd-minute lead but Nicke Kabamba quickly headed Barnet level from a Dale Gorman cross.

Sinclair struck again in the 42nd minute, sweeping home his seventh goal of the season from Jesurun Uchegbulam’s low ball in.

Uchegbulam was involved in Dale’s third, too, playing in Adam Clayton, whose ball into the box was turned home from close range by Harvey Gilmour five minutes into the second half.

Kabamba made it 3-2 in the 67th minute, smashing the ball home from Harry Pritchard’s cutback, but the visitors could not find an equaliser and instead Rochdale wrapped up the points late on as substitute Ian Henderson provided the finish to a clinical counter-attack.

Tyrese Sinclair rescues Rochdale point at Maidenhead

Kairo Mitchell put Rochdale ahead after 29 minutes with his sixth goal of the season and third in four games.

The Magpies turned the game around in the second half as Reece Smith slotted home on the hour before Chanka Zimba pounced on a loose ball six minutes from time.

But Devante Rodney broke free three minutes from time and squared for Sinclair to finish at the far post.

Tyrone Marsh bags brace to boost Boreham Wood to comeback win over Woking

The Cards started as the better side, with Reece Grego-Cox converting from the penalty spot eight minutes in. After a long range shot, Rhys Browne soon doubled the away team’s advantage just minutes later.

Boreham Wood grabbed one back courtesy of Angelo Balanta in the 25th minute and Marsh then levelled the scoring after tapping in a free-kick.

Marsh then grabbed his second, converting the game’s second penalty to put the home side ahead. Tom Whelan then put the game to bed after drilling the ball into the back of the net in the 87th minute.

Tyrone Marsh continues hot streak as Boreham Wood beat Oxford City

Marsh grabbed his side’s second goal shortly after the half-hour mark to make it four in his last three matches, following up Tom Whelan’s fourth-minute strike.

Third bottom City pulled one back when Reece Fleet hit the target before the interval but Luke Garrard’s side held out for the three points.

Matt Robinson came close to adding a third for his side shortly after stepping off the bench but was denied by the crossbar.

Wanderers see off Shots to get National League campaign back on track

Jason Prior put the home side in front in the seventh minute when he flicked in a cross to the near post for his eighth goal of the season.

Cian Harries equalised midway through the second half from the penalty spot after Shots midfielder Josh Stokes was brought down.

Dorking, though, were soon back in front when Barry Fuller played Jimmy Muitt into space and his deflected effort with 20 minutes left proved enough to secure victory.

Wealdstone and Altrincham share spoils

Tarryn Allarakhia fired over for the hosts from close range and Jed Ward saved well from Jake Cooper and Dior Angus at the other end in an otherwise uneventful first half.

Tahvon Campbell, having twice gone close, was forced off by injury just before half-time and replaced by Sean Adarkwa.

The substitute failed to connect with Allarakhia’s cross at close range before visiting keeper Ethan Ross brilliantly saved from Abdul Abdulmalik and Jaydn Mundle-Smith.

Wealdstone ease relegation fears with comeback win over Dorking

Dorking could have moved level on points with their hosts in the battle to avoid the drop but were eventually beaten 4-2 at Grosvenor Vale.

Luke Moore opened the scoring for the visitors early in the second half with Charlie Carter’s effort extending the lead.

Wealdstone, though, fought back as Mason Barrett pulled one back before a quick-fire Max Kretzschmar double and a Tarryn Allarakhia goal completed a comeback to ease the home side’s own relegation concerns.

Wealdstone not safe yet after late loss to Eastleigh

Maguire bent a superb free-kick over the head of Stones goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst to seal his side’s third consecutive win.

Wealdstone also went into the game in fine form and threatened to claim an early advantage as Nathan Ferguson came close before Aaron Henry hit the bar direct from a corner.

But Eastleigh recovered and Maguire missed an opportunity to put the visitors in front before he rifled home the winning free-kick with two minutes left.

Wealdstone score late winner against 10-man York

The Minstermen started brightly as Maziar Kouhyar saw a shot blocked by Wealdstone defender Jack Cook before Dipo Akinyemi and Adam Crookes were denied from the subsequent corner.

York went ahead when Levi Andoh’s cross picked out Lenell John-Lewis, who teed up Akinyemi for a debut goal.

Max Kretzschmar levelled from the penalty spot on the hour mark after Kouhyar was adjudged to have used his hand to block a shot.

The match took a decisive turn seven minutes from time when York defender Callum Howe saw red for bringing down Corie Andrews while he was clean through and in the 88th minute Kretzschmar set up Jaydn Mundle-Smith for the winner.

Wealdstone snatch last-gasp draw at Barnet

The hosts opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Ben Coker sent the ball across the face of goal, where Callum Stead tapped home.

Barnet won an 80th-minute penalty but Harry Pritchard could not find the finishing touch as his spot-kick was saved by Marcus Dewhurst.

Andrews left it late but secured all three points for the Stones when he tapped the ball past January signing Josh Keeley, who had come off his line and watched as the ball rolled past him and into the back of the Bees net.

Wealdstone win it late on as Charlie Barker consigns Barnet to another defeat

The ailing Bees went into the game on the back of three straight losses but things looked positive when harry Pritchard gave them the lead with 13 minutes on the clock.

Jack Cook levelled for the Stones three minutes later but Nicke Kabamba put Barnet back in front and their lead held until the 52nd minute when captain Cook levelled again.

The two sides looked set to share the points until Barker struck in the eighth minute of stoppage time to send the home fans away happy.

Why Wrexham? This is why Wrexham', says Hollywood star Reynolds after Welsh side promoted to EFL

The Deadpool star and fellow actor Rob McElhenney surprised everyone when they bought the Welsh club in November 2020.

And the co-owners were in attendance at the Racecourse Ground – along with another Hollywood star guest in Paul Rudd – to see Wrexham beat Boreham Wood 3-1 on Saturday to clinch the National League title.

Reynolds and McElhenney were emotional after the game as they celebrated with the players and manager Phil Parkinson, with Wrexham moving to 110 points – a National League record – meaning Notts County (106) could no longer catch them with one game remaining of what had been a pulsating title race.

"I am not sure I can process what happened tonight. I am still little speechless," Reynolds told BT Sport.

"[People ask] 'Why Wrexham?'. This is why Wrexham. This happening, right now, is why.

"Boreham Wood showed up today. They are an incredible team. They have one of the best defences in the entire league.

"This entire story, the reason we are all on edge of our seats is because Notts County are so damn good. They deserve to go up. We are rooting for Notts County. We want to see them go up [in the playoffs]."

Wrexham sealed their place in League Two for next season after recovering from going a goal down to Lee Ndlovu's first-minute lob, with Elliot Lee equalising in the 15th minute before two well-taken goals from top scorer Paul Mullin in the second half secured the famous win.

Fans poured onto the pitch on the full-time whistle as celebrations centred around being presented with the National League trophy.

"Well I think we can hear what it feels to the town. It's a time of celebration and be welcomed into their community and be welcomed to this, it is the honour of my life," McElhenney said.

The 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' star also had rather high words of praise for striker Mullin, who now has 38 league goals this season.

"I would like to say Paul Mullin is one of the greatest footballers in the world," McElhenney insisted.

Will Davies rescues point as York claim Oldham draw

The play-off chasing visitors opened the scoring when Mike Fondop struck after an hour following a period of pressure.

But Davies levelled 10 minutes later to ensure the hosts took a point and dented Oldham’s play-off hopes.

They Latics dropped down to seventh to sit just a point ahead of Altrincham.

Will Davies scores late winner for York at struggling Oxford City

York had taken a deserved lead in first-half stoppage time when Dipo Akinyemi fired in on the rebound, having already seen an earlier shot strike the post.

Aaron Williams-Bushell brought the hosts level just after the hour-mark when Mitchell Roberts pulled the ball back into the centre for him to fire in.

York’s Ryan Fallowfield saw an audacious effort from midfield strike the crossbar as both sides had chances to take the win but, just as they had in the opening 45 minutes, York left it late before Davies won it at the death.

Will Grigg helps Chesterfield maintain perfect start to season

Tom Naylor headed home James Berry’s corner in first-half stoppage time for his first Spireites goal.

Josh Parker met Lewis Coyle’s cross on the volley to give City hope of collecting a first point of the season.

But Chesterfield punished them when unmarked Northern Ireland international Grigg collected an 88th-minute pass on the penalty spot and slotted home.

Will Grigg hits winner as leaders Chesterfield come from behind to beat Solihull

Visitors Solihull looked set to repeat their shock Boxing Day success as goals from Matty Warburton and Mark Beck either side of half-time put them in a commanding lead.

But the Spireites responded with three goals in six second-half minutes, starting with a cool finish from Tom Naylor in the 63rd minute to reduce the deficit.

Ryan Colclough levelled when he headed home a corner three minutes later, and Grigg poked home from long range on 69 minutes to complete the turnaround and seal the points for the hosts.

Will Grigg on fire as Chesterfield terrorise Gateshead

The Spireites opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Grigg stabbed home from close range and doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark when Tom Naylor found the net via the post.

Chesterfield scored two goals within a minute at the end of the half, firstly through Grigg before Michael Jacobs slotted home to put them 4-0 up.

Grigg was given the opportunity to secure the match ball when Chesterfield were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute and the striker made no mistake in dispatching the spot-kick for his first treble for the club.

Jacobs passed up an early opportunity for the visitors when he dragged his shot wide from Armando Dobra’s backheeled pass, but the home side were denied by the goal frame when Harry Pritchard’s looping header came back off the bar.

In the event, it was the Spireites who took a 29th-minute lead when Bailey Clements ran on to Jamie Grimes’ ball over the top and crossed for Jacobs to score.

Callum Stead and Pritchard both threatened for the hosts as they tried to work their way back into the game after the restart, but neither was able to hit the target.

But the game was over with 10 minutes remaining when Grigg struck after good work by Tom Naylor to wrap up the points.

Will Grigg’s goal in vain for Chesterfield as Southend end 13-match unbeaten run

The Spireites, who had won 12 times during that streak, including the last five, opened the scoring in the 27th minute through striker Will Grigg.

The 32-year-old former Northern Ireland international took his tally to five goals in four league games when pouncing from close range from a Michael Jacobs cross.

But two goals inside three second-half minutes turned the game on its head as Jack Bridge levelled from the penalty spot on the hour after Harry Taylor was fouled by Branden Horton.

Chesterfield goalkeeper Harry Tyrer, who earlier made a fantastic save to keep out Bridge’s volley, then allowed Wes Fonguck’s cross, which took a deflection off Darren Oldaker, to slip underneath him.

Woking and Maidenhead share points in Michael Doyle’s first game as Cards boss

Doyle, who played for Coventry and Sheffield United, was named as the National League side’s new manager earlier this week following the dismissal of Darren Sarll in November.

His debut match was one that lacked real quality with the best chance of the match arriving in the opening period when Sam Barratt’s free-kick for the home side could not be converted at the back post.

The point leaves Woking, with just one win in their last seven league matches, in 17th, just two points clear of danger. Maidenhead are 12th.
