Jack Barham broke the deadlock after 13 minutes from close range before Josh Parker equalised midway through the first half.
The Shots re-took the lead through Haji Mnoga following a corner just after the half-hour mark before Tolaj made it 3-1 – thanks to a Barham assist – in the eighth minute of first-half injury time.
Aldershot continued to dominate in the second half and debutant Josh Stokes put away a low cross from Barham to extend their score just two minutes in.
Tolaj completed his double at the death as he put the score beyond doubt, while the visitors still had time to reduce the deficit as Parker added his second of the day in the seventh minute of added time.
The Shots were stunned by an early strike from Toby Edser, who put Ebbsfleet ahead after just four minutes, but Tolaj levelled and then put the hosts ahead on the stroke of half-time.
James Daly added the third early in the second half but Aldershot were left a player short for the final half-hour after Haji Mnoga was sent off following a clash with Dominic Poleon.
Ryan Glover settled any nerves with a fine strike in the 67th minute after good work by Daly.
In a dramatic first half, struggling Maidenhead raced into a 2-0 lead as Chanka Zimba scored twice, the first the simple task of putting the ball into an empty net after great build-up play from Ashley Nathaniel-George and Reece Smith, then finishing a swift counter-attack in the 22nd minute.
But Coby Rowe headed Aldershot back into the contest from an Ollie Harfield corner in the 36th minute, and they were level moments later as Harfield’s cross was turned in by Jack Barham – with both goals confirmed by the assistant referee as Maidenhead attempted to scramble them off the line.
Tolaj put Aldershot in front nine minutes from time, finding space on the edge of the box to turn and curl a shot past Craig Ross, and then added another deep into time added on as Barham laid it on a plate.
Jack Barham fired into the side netting early on before Lorent Tolaj collected a through ball from Josh Stokes and converted at the second time of asking 10 minutes before half-time.
Callum Reynolds equalised for the visitors just before the hour mark, netting after Louis Dennis’ strike had been parried by Jordi van Stappershoef.
Grant Smith saved a Ryan Glover free-kick and Tolaj headed against a post late on as the hosts sought a winner but it finished all square.
Olufela Olomola netted the opener for the visitors after 12 minutes. Kamarl Grant picked out Myles Weston, whose cross was converted by the former Scunthorpe forward.
Bromley had the chance to double their lead when Jude Arthurs went down in the box but Louis Dennis’ effort from the spot was saved by James Montgomery.
Greg Olley scored the equaliser 12 minutes from time and Gateshead hit the post through Kain Adom before Louis Storey grabbed the winner two minutes from time.
Ludwig Francillette opened the scoring for the Spitfires on the stroke of half-time when he headed home from Chris Maguire’s free-kick.
Paul McCallum doubled the home side’s lead after 58 minutes when he converted from Aidan Barlow’s cross.
Sebastian Bowerman pulled one back for Dorking with seven minutes left but it proved too little, too late for the visitors.
The home side – facing a third game in the space of five days after losing at Fylde and Maidenhead – took the lead in the 12th minute through a penalty from Luke Hannant.
Chesterfield fell further behind in the 32nd minute when midfielder Hannant converted another spot-kick – and Spireites boss Paul Cook was shown a yellow card for his protests on the touchline.
The visitors pulled a goal back on the hour mark when defender Louis Storey turned a cross into his own net, but Gateshead held on to make sure of their play-off spot.
The hosts’ mini-recovery appeared to have come to a shuddering halt after back-to-back wins as they were behind with the additional five minutes already played.
However, they were saved by the award of a spot-kick which Hannant converted in the seventh extra minute.
Eastleigh had taken the lead nine minutes after half-time with Dutchman Enzio Boldewijn curling home a superb effort from the left corner of the penalty area.
The concession of the late equaliser extended their run of games without a win to nine, stretching back to December 23, and leaves them seven points off the bottom four.
Haigh made two fine stops from Jayden Mitchell-Lawson in the opening 20 minutes.
Chanka Zimba, making his Maidenhead debut after signing on loan from Cardiff, was then brilliantly denied from close range.
Josh Ross went closest for the visitors when forcing a fine save from Craig Ross and neither side could break the deadlock in a second half of few chances.
Jim Kellermann sent an early cross against the Maidenhead crossbar and Ricky Korboa tested home goalkeeper Craig Ross.
Charlee Adams and Reece Smith threatened at the other end while Ross twice saved from Tunji Akinola in a goalless first half.
Korboa shot over for Woking just after the hour mark and Smith missed the target from close range.
Maidenhead had convincing penalty appeals waved away after an apparent handball and Will Jaaskelainen saved from substitute Harry Parsons late on to deny the hosts victory.
After the home side led through Lewis Banks’ 12th-minute strike, the Magpies equalised on the half-hour mark courtesy of Kevin Lokko.
Reece Smith then put them ahead just before the interval and Remy Clerima added a third three minutes into the second half.
Maidenhead move up two places to 15th in the National League table, going four points clear of the relegation zone, while Phil Parkinson’s Altrincham – having suffered a third loss on the bounce – slip one spot to ninth.
Eastleigh took an early lead just four minutes into the game through Solomon Nwabuokei, who tucked the ball underneath Craig Ross and Chris Maguire doubled their lead 11 minutes later with a curling effort into the bottom corner from just outside of the box.
Maidenhead pulled one back seven minutes after the break when a quick free-kick reached Ashley Nathaniel-George who played across to Will De Havilland to tap in.
They then equalised in the 70th minute when Jayden Mitchell-Lawson’s cross deflected into the net off Eastleigh midfielder Nigel Atangana and Shawn McCoulsky headed home to claim the three points.
Sam Beckwith gave Maidenhead the lead with a low shot into the bottom corner after 10 minutes, but Charlie Carter soon fired Dorking level.
The Magpies were back in front in the 28th minute through a long-range effort by Reece Smith and winger Jayden Mitchell-Lawson added a third with a fine solo effort just before the break.
Wanderers reduced the deficit in the 66th minute when Jason Prior headed in following a swift counter-attack, but Tristan Abrahams scored late fourth for Maidenhead, who climb to 16th.
It was a third successive league win for the visitors, who had their first real shot on target midway through the first half from Sam Barratt, before Tobi Sho-Silva fired them in front moments later with his second goal of the season.

Solihull tried to mount a comeback but Matty Warburton’s powerful effort sailed just wide.
Mark Beck pulled one back for the Moors in the 90th minute when he got his headed in a corner at the far post but it was too little too late as they dropped down a spot to fourth and the visitors moved up to 18th.
The Magpies took the lead in the 11th minute when Tobi Sho-Silva knocked in a rebound after Sam Barratt’s shot had been saved by Moors goalkeeper Nick Hayes.
Josh Kelly equalised for Solihull in the 36th minute after he got on the end of Alex Whitmore’s ball into the Maidenhead penalty area.
Barratt restored Maidenhead’s lead with 20 minutes left when he fired a long-range shot into the bottom corner before Solihull captain Jamey Osborne saw his effort cleared off the line in stoppage time.
After claiming two wins from their opening four fixtures, Maidenhead had spiralled in recent weeks but they made a bright start and went ahead when Remy Clerima netted following a goalmouth scramble.
The hosts were two up inside 15 minutes as Casey Pettit was upended in the area and Ashley Nathaniel-George slotted home from the spot.
However, Maidenhead also held a 2-0 lead in midweek at Aldershot but lost 4-2, and hearts would have been in mouths after half-time when Scott Quigley headed home at the back post.
But Reece Smith’s deft footwork and fine finish restored the two-goal cushion and even though Quigley curled home deep into stoppage time, Maidenhead held on to secure a first win in the league since August 19.
The hosts started the brighter and Alex Reid was played through after 13 minutes but his strike was pushed away by Maidenhead goalkeeper Craig Ross.
But Reid gave the in-form Latics the lead after 28 minutes with his fourth goal in five matches, latching on to Mark Kitching’s cross and directing a header past Ross.
Tobi Sho-Silva produced a rare threat for the visitors 20 minutes from time, but his powerful header was well blocked by Devarn Green.
Maidenhead are now winless in 10 matches but claimed a last-gasp point thanks to a stunning long-range strike from Bradley Keetch.
The hosts burst out of the traps, scoring twice in the opening six minutes with Remy Clerima getting both, first heading in Sam Barratt’s free-kick before finishing from a corner.
Aldershot’s James Daly had an effort cleared off the line by Zico Asare late in the first half, but Maidenhead continued to dominate and got a third from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, with Charlee Adams converting after Dylan Kadji fouled Ashley Nathaniel-George to earn a second yellow card.
Aldershot’s Christia Maghoma was then dismissed 12 minutes from time, conceding a second penalty which was again finished by Adams.
They went ahead in the 13th minute when Casey Pettit converted Will De Havilland’s knock down.
Callum Cooke’s brilliant volley brought Hartlepool level after the break but two goals in nine minutes sealed it for the hosts.
Tom Beckwith made it 2-1 in the 75th minute with a deflected shot from the edge of the area and Shawn McCoulsky sealed it with a tap-in.
Bradbury was sacked following Friday’s 2-0 defeat at Southend but the Spitfires, under the interim guidance of Richard Hill and Jason Bristow, took full advantage of Aldershot goalkeeper Jordi van Stappershoef’s first-half dismissal to earn a 3-0 win.
Van Stappershoef was shown a straight red card in the 34th minute for wiping out Aidan Barlow just outside the area and, with no substitute keeper on the bench, striker Lorent Tolaj was sent on to take the gloves.
The Shots’ woes immediately worsened as Chris Maguire scored from the resulting free-kick, curling a pinpoint effort over the wall and in off the underside of the crossbar.
Eastleigh doubled their lead in the 64th minute when summer signing Enzio Boldewijn headed home from a corner.
Soon after that the Shots elected to change keepers again, with Tolaj going up front and Kwame Thomas, another forward, coming back to replace him between the sticks.
However, Thomas also conceded almost immediately as the Spitfires made it 3-0 through Boldewijn, who coolly slotted home his second of the afternoon.
