Johnson – a three-time NFL Pro Bowler – announced on Wednesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19 amid the global pandemic.
In a social media post midweek, the Eagles right tackle wrote: "Over the past few months, I have tested negative after all travels including before and after the OL Masterminds Summit 18 days ago.
"I have been working hard in preparation for a long, gruelling season and have tried to take all necessary precautions to build a safe and healthy environment during the sessions. I have and will continue to take this seriously and encourage everyone else to do so as well.
"I will follow all protocols and I look forward to joining my team-mates and coaches on the field soon! #FlyEaglesFly."
Eagles linebacker Nathan Gerry and tackle Jordan Mailata have also been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced.
"The Reserve/COVID-19 list was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons," the Eagles said in a statement.
"Per NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player's medical status other than referring to roster status."
The Eagles will face the Washington Football Team in week one of the NFL season on September 13.
Johnson was replaced by Jack Driscoll after suffering the injury in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 40-32 defeat against the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia's second loss of the campaign.
A report from ESPN's Adam Schefter said Johnson had undergone an MRI scan that revealed a torn tendon in the abdominal area, and he is not expected to play any further part in the Eagles' final two regular season games.
However, with Philadelphia having clinched a playoff spot, the NFC East leaders hope to have the four-time Pro Bowl OT available for a postseason run.
With Johnson starting all 15 of the Eagles' games this season, his setback represents another concern for a side already nursing an injury to starting quarterback and MVP candidate Jalen Hurts.
The Eagles boast the NFL's best record at 13-2, and another victory would be enough for them to clinch the NFC East, the conference's top seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Tight end Ertz did not play against the New York Giants in Week 17 as the Eagles clinched the NFC East, sitting out the game due to rib and back injuries.
Along with offensive lineman Lane Johnson – who has not featured since Week 14 due to an ankle issue – Ertz was listed on the team's latest injury report on Friday as questionable.
"He is still not cleared for any contact," Philadelphia head coach Doug Pederson said of Ertz prior to Friday's practice session.
"He will work a little on the side, like he's done this week. We're waiting on a few doctor results tomorrow [Saturday]. If things go favourably, he'll play and if they don't, he won't."
As for Johnson, the Eagles' selection with the fourth pick in the 2013 draft, the two-time Pro Bowl tackle was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but did not participate at all on Friday.
Wide receiver Agholor has been ruled out contention due to a knee injury, scuppering his hopes of facing the Seahawks at Lincoln Financial Field.
While his absence will be a blow to a depleted offense already without fellow receivers Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson, there was some good news for the team concerning Miles Sanders.
The rookie running back hurt his ankle during the 34-17 triumph over the Giants but was a full participant in practice on Friday.
The All-Pro right tackle inked an extension worth $33.445million, and includes $30m guaranteed.
It will keep the 32-year-old under contract through the 2026 season.
"My whole goal is to retire an Eagle," Johnson said on Friday.
"That's what I'm going to do. I'm just excited to be here, be as fortunate as I am to be with one team for as long as I have.
"I love this game and, more importantly, I love the people and the coaches that I'm with every day and that's why I love the game so much."
Johnson is a two-time first-team All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler who has started 127 games in a stellar career.
Having won Super Bowl LI with the Eagles in 2017, the 2013 fourth overall pick helped Philadelphia to Super Bowl LVII last season, where they lost 38-35 to the Kansas City Chiefs.
In 2022, his aggregate win rate across pass protection and run blocking of 78.26 per cent was ninth among all tackles, according to Stats Perform data.
It is the first time a selection has been made exclusively by players, with the most recognised All-Pro team being the one generated by votes from NFL writers and broadcasters, organised by the Associated Press.
NFLPA president J.C. Tretter issued a statement on Tuesday outlining why he felt it was important for players to have their say.
"For the first time ever, NFL players are honouring the best in the game by naming our Players' All-Pro team," he said. "Every active NFL player had the opportunity to cast their vote to decide who is really the best at each position.
"We compete against each other all season long, watching hours and hours of film week after week after week, and yet we have never had an opportunity to truly use our expertise to select the best of us.
"We think it is important that players take the time to define ourselves, because so far, we have allowed everyone else to either pick or dilute our voices."
The team was unveiled on Wednesday, with selections including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Mahomes, Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, and his team-mate Davante Adams and Minnesota Vikings' star Jefferson as wide receivers.
The Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers were the best represented teams, with four players each.
