With a blend of rising stars and seasoned competitors, the Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) has unveiled a small but formidable 18-member team set to represent the twin-island nation at the 38th edition of the CARIFTA Aquatic Championships, scheduled for April 19–22 in Trinidad and Tobago.
Though compact in size, the squad boasts a well-balanced lineup of youthful energy and competitive experience, offering promise for strong performances in the pool.
The ABSF has placed a strategic focus on ensuring the development of swimmers across all levels of competition, and their selection reflects not only raw speed but also technical development, mental toughness, and growth potential.
Antigua and Barbuda’s athletes will go head-to-head with competitors from across the region in a variety of events, from sprints to middle-distance races, relays, and individual medleys.
While medals are always the goal, the federation sees the CARIFTA Games as a critical opportunity for athletes to test themselves, gain exposure, and inspire younger swimmers at home.
The 38th CARIFTA Aquatic Championships promises to be a vibrant showcase of Caribbean talent, and Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation is aiming to make its presence felt with grit, grace, and national pride.
Antigua and Barbuda squad: 11-12—Keziah Joseph, Willow Zreibi, Alyssa Watkins, Kaylee Warner, Alessandro Bazzoni, Christopher Walter; 13-14—Anya De Gannes, Reuben Edwards; 15-17—Aunjelique Liddie, Madison MacMillan, Selah Wiltshire, Ellie Shaw, Mila Festini-Cromer, Alandra Dublin (overseas-based), Neil Noronha, Jai Sindhi, Tivon Benjamin (overseas-based), Ethan Stubbs-Green (overseas-based)
