The Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans combined for 470 runs between them during Saturday’s third game of the 2025 HBL Pakistan Super League at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The Sultans, the team of newly appointed West Indies T20I captain Shai Hope, batted first and made what looked like a winning total with 234-4 in their 20 overs.

Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan carried his bat through the innings on the way to 105* off 63 balls including nine fours and five sixes while New Zealander Michael Bracewell made 44* off 17 balls, providing some exciting hitting late in the innings with five fours and three sixes.

Hope, who opener alongside Rizwan, made eight off seven balls.

Shai Hope was dismissed for just eight.

Khushdil Shah was the only Karachi bowler to be somewhat economical, going for 33 in his four overs while picking up a wicket.

The Kings then pulled off the spectacular chase, reaching 236-6 with four balls to go in the final over.

Englishman James Vince starred with a brilliant 101 off 43 balls including 14 fours and four sixes while Shah completed a fine all-round performance with 60 off 37 balls including five fours and four sixes.

Left arm pacer Akif Javed tried his best with his 3-41 from four overs with the ball.
