Jamaican Clemson junior Shantae Foreman continued reign as the triple jump queen of the ACC Indoor Championships with her second-straight title in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday.
The 22-year-old produced a best jump of 13.55m in the third round to win comfortably ahead of Miami senior Christina Warren who did a personal best 13.07m for silver and Louisville senior Rachel Darden whose 12.77m in third was also a personal best.
Foreman’s second and third best jumps, 13.29m in round six and 13.22m in round five, would also have been good enough for gold.
She also won gold at last year’s ACC Indoor Championships in Boston with a 13.68m effort.
Foreman’s win also contributed to Clemson’s overall women’s team title in Louisville. They finished with 89 points, comfortably ahead of Stanford (65) in second and Louisville (62) in third.
