Jamaicans Lafranz Campbell and Andre Edwards were among the winners on Friday’s first day of the Bob Pollock Invitational at Clemson University.

Campbell took top spot in the men’s 60m hurdles in 7.69, a new season’s best. Countryman Giano Roberts was second in 7.77 while Howard University’s Zachary Hawkins was third in a personal best 7.82.

Edwards, a senior at Life University, took the win in the men’s 60m in a personal best 6.61 ahead of Clemson’s Ian Johnson (6.690 and Jamaica’s Shamar Ramsey (6.70).

Jamaica’s Leah Anderson ran a personal best 52.05 to take the win in the women’s 400m ahead of Auburn’s Vimbayi Maisvorewa (52.21) and Nike’s Jessika Gbai (53.19).

The men’s equivalent saw Jamaica’s Tarees Rhoden run a personal best 47.09 for third behind Chris Robinson (45.95) and Hasani Barr (46.81).

The women’s 300m saw Cique Elite’s Aliyah Abrams run a personal best in third.

The Guyanese 400m specialist ran 36.93 for third behind clubmate Quanera Hayes (36.14) and Empire Athletics’ Talitha Diggs who won in a personal best 36.08.

Bahamian Ian Kerr ran 33.50 for third in the men’s 300m behind Cique Elite’s Jacory Patterson (32.18) and Empire Athletics’ Ryan Willie (33.25).

On Saturday's second day, Jamaica's Jordan Scott produced 16.07m to take top spot in the men's triple jump ahead of Georgia Tech's John Watkins (15.88m) and Kennesaw State's Lloyd Hill Jr (15.57m).

Jamaican Clemson junior Shantae Foreman jumped 13.66m to take the women's equivalent ahead of Georgia Southern senior Imani Moore (12.82m) and Howard junior Kelis Armstrong (12.53m).
