Molynes United, Mount Pleasant Academy, Tivoli Gardens FC and Montego Bay United will all celebrate victory heading into 2025 as they won their respective fixtures to continue the second round of the Wray & Nephew Premier League on Sunday.
Molynes United were the biggest winners on the day, hammering Vere United 5-0 at the Wembley Centre of Excellence.
Devonte Davis was the star of the show with goals in the 33rd, 49th and 63rd minutes to complete a hat trick while the other goals came from Jason Wright in the 75th minute and a Marlon Cunningham own goal six minutes from full time.
The win moves Molynes United one spot ahead of Vere in 11th with both teams having 13 points from 15 outings.
The second biggest winners on Sunday were Tivoli Gardens FC who beat Humble Lion 5-1 at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex for their second win in a row.
Kavan Wilson gave Tivoli the lead in the 29th minute before, just one minute later, Trevaune McKain made it 2-0.
An Anthony Nelson strike in the 40th minute meant Tivoli went into the half with a comfortable 3-0 advantage.
Afiba Chambers made it 3-1 in the 70th minute to restore some hope for Humble Lion but that hope was quickly dashed when, two minutes later, Nelson got his second to make it 4-1.
Substitute Rodico Wellington made it 5-1 in the 88th minute.
The win moves Tivoli to seventh in the table on 19 points from their 15 games, four points behind the top six while Humble Lion’s third consecutive loss sees them remain last on 10 points from their 15 encounters.
