The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has named a 24-man Under-17 squad that will represent the country at the Torneo del Sol set for January 6-11 in Mexico.

The highly competitive tournament, put on by the Mexican Football Federation, will feature 16 teams, including Mexico’s U-17 national team and clubs from Mexico’s Professional Third Division League.

Trinidad & Tobago U-17, Guatemala U-17, and Panama U-17 will also add to the excitement.

The Torneo del Sol will not only expose the young Reggae Boyz to international competition but also offer an invaluable opportunity to sharpen their skills and measure their progress against elite teams as they finalize preparations for the Concacaf U-17 World Cup Qualifiers (WCQ), set to begin in February 2025 in Guatemala.

The squad will leave for Mexico on January 4.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Justin Murray, Johnoi Steadman, Defenders: Jaquan Brown, Damarley Williams, Zienodean McLean, Jabar Johnson, Cai-Anthony McLean, Kieran Smith, Alexander White, Midfielders: Owen Jumpp, Javaughn Anglin, Ayden McFarlane, Cadriano Marsh, Dario White, Earl Dennis, Nyron Allen, Oscar Dawes, Forwards: Giovanni Taylor, Raequan Campbell-Dennis, Orel Miller, Seymour Garfield-Reid, Nehmani McNamee-Burke, Axel Grimaud, Jahmarie Nolan.
