Jaequan Dixon emerged victorious in the feature race at the Elevation Cycling Club Road Race on Sunday, December 15, 2025. The event, which followed the scenic yet gruelling route from Mineral Heights to Jamalco in Clarendon, saw over 40 riders across multiple categories battling for supremacy. Dixon, showcasing a perfect blend of endurance and strategy, bested a competitive field of 15 riders to take the win, with Peter Thompson finishing second and Barenton Bailey placing third. Damaine Douglas and Jerome Forrest rounded out the top five in a thrilling contest that kept spectators riveted to the end.

The day was filled with high-energy racing, starting with the Children’s race, where Noel Douglas led the way to victory ahead of Frank Arnold and Mario Whyte. It was a spirited effort from the youngest riders, highlighting the future of Jamaican cycling.

In the Masters category, Kirk Finnikin displayed his dominance, crossing the finish line ahead of Barenton Bailey and Alton Duhaney. Meanwhile, in the Super Masters, Charles Joseph took the top spot, edging out Patrick Whyne and Wayne Smith in a tightly contested race.

Among the women, Janneille Morgan was the lone competitor in her category but delivered a solid performance that reflected her commitment and skill.

The Elite Category 1-3 saw Peter Thompson claim victory, narrowly beating Jaequan Dixon, who placed second in this race before returning for his feature race triumph. Jerome Forrest secured third place, underscoring his consistency across both races.

The All Comers race offered another exciting contest, with Jaheim Hall taking first place, followed by Chevan Matthie and Chavez Taylor, who finished second and third, respectively.

The event, sponsored by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Jamaica, was more than just a showcase of athletic prowess. It was also a celebration of community and support for the sport. Riders received care packages from Sheriel Brown of Sheriel International Ministry of Hope Inc Ltd, including rehydration fluids, protein bars, and safety gear, ensuring they were well-prepared for the challenging day ahead.
