Reggae Boyz winger Leon Bailey was honored recently by his club Aston Villa to signify his 100th English Premier League appearance for the club.
He is now the third Jamaican-born Reggae Boy to achieve this milestone following Ricardo “Bibi” Gardener with 251 appearances for Bolton Wanderers and Ricardo Fuller with 141 appearances for Stoke City.
Bailey joined Villa in 2021 from German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. Before his time in Germany, Bailey started his professional career at KRC Genk in Belgium from 2015-2017.
He has found the net 16 times in 108 appearances in England’s top-flight competition.
The 27-year-old has also played in the UFEA Champions League, Europa League, and most recently, the Europa Conference League.
Bailey has scored five goals in 32 appearances for the senior Reggae Boyz.
In his professional career, Bailey has recorded 372 appearances scoring 75 goals while recording 69 assists.
