Top seeds Joel Angus and Tahlia Richardson lived up to their billing at Doubles Mania 2025, capturing the Open Men’s and Open Women’s Singles titles, respectively, during an exciting weekend of high-calibre badminton action.

Angus claimed the men’s title with a straight-sets victory over second seed Craig Allison, winning 21-18, 21-15 in Sunday’s final. Richardson, meanwhile, held off a spirited challenge from second seed Bermary Polanco Munoz, taking the women's final 21-13, 15-21, 22-20 in a thrilling three-set battle.

Angus would go on to double his title haul, teaming up with Kenneth Anglin to win the Open Men’s Doubles, defeating the second-seeded pair of Allison and Mickhail Williams, 21-15, 21-17.

In the Open Women’s Doubles, the combination of Rihanna Rust and Katherine Wynter proved too strong for Richardson and Breanna Bisnott, as they secured the title 21-14, 21-17.

Rust and Anglin also enjoyed success in the Open Mixed Doubles, where they rallied from a set down to overcome Matthew Yee-Grant and Tahlia Richardson, 13-21, 21-13, 21-10.

In B Men’s Doubles, top seeds Daryl Branford and Chelule Miller edged a tough contest against Jhevado Ross and Matheus Smith, winning 21-10, 22-24, 21-13.

The B Mixed Doubles crown went to Chavaughn Schleifer and Brianna Burke, who upset top seeds Branford and Mikaelah Mustafaa, 21-13, 22-20 in the final.

Ross and Smith found redemption in the C Men’s Doubles, powering past Romaine Bent and Marvin Lee, 21-16, 21-11 to clinch the title.

In the C Women’s Doubles, Sammy Rhose Etulle and Shelby Stephenson came from behind to beat Abbi-Gayle Harvey and Ruthann Wagdle, 17-21, 21-8, 21-10.

The tournament concluded with a tightly contested C Mixed Doubles final, where top seeds Andrew Heath and Michelle Champagnie edged Ross and Burke 21-15, 19-21, 21-18 in an intense three-setter.

Doubles Mania 2025 once again showcased the depth of regional badminton talent, with seasoned names and rising stars lighting up the courts across every category.
