The Kolkata Knight Riders bounced back from their defeat to the Mumbai Indians on Monday with a dominant 80-run win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad in TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) action at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.

KKR first recovered from being 16-2 halfway through the third over to post 200-6 from their 20 overs after being put in to bat by Sunrisers skipper Pat Cummins.

Venkatesh Iyer led the charge with a 29-ball 60 including seven fours and three sixes while Angkrish Raghuvanshi made 50 off 32 balls including five fours and two sixes in support.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Rinku Singh also chipped in with 38 and 32, respectively.

No Sunrisers bowler took more than one wicket.

It then took the KKR bowlers just 16.4 overs to dismiss the Sunrisers for 120.

Heinrich Klaasen (33) and Kamindu Mendis (27) were the only batsmen to make any meaningful contributions against the Kolkata attack.

Varun Chakravarthy picked up 3-22 from his four overs of mystery spin while pacer Vaibhav Arora took 3-29 from his four overs.

Andre Russell took 2-21 from his 1.4 overs while Sunil Narine took 1-30 from his four over spell.
