Start lists announced for inaugural Grand Slam Track event in Kingston from April 4-6

The start lists for the inaugural Grand Slam Track meet set for April 4-6 at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica have been announced and fans can look forward to exciting clashes in just about every event.

The athletes for the three-day meet have been divided into 12 categories and will all compete in two events, each.

Friday’s action will include the Women’s 200m Short Sprint, Men’s 400m Long Sprint, Women’s 3000m Long Distance, Women’s 800m Short Distance, Men’s 400m Hurdles Long Hurdles, Women’s 400m Hurdles Long Hurdles, Men’s 5000m Long Distance and Men’s 100m Short Sprint.

Saturday will have the Men’s 110m Hurdles Short Hurdles, Men’s 200m Long Sprint, Women’s 1500m Short Distance, Women’s 100m Hurdles Short Hurdles, Women’s 100m Short Sprint, Men’s 1500m Short Distance, Men’s 200m Short Sprint and Women’s 400m Long Sprint.

Sunday will include the Women’s 100m Short Hurdles, Men’s 400m Long Hurdles, Women’s 5000m Long Distance, Men’s 100m Short Hurdles, Men’s 800m Short Distance, Men’s 3000m Long Distance, Women’s 200m Short Sprint and Women’s 400m Long Hurdles.

The 12 fields and athletes in each field are as follows:

Women’s Long Sprints: Marileidy Paulino, Salwa Eid Naser, Dina Asher-Smith, Alexis Holmes, Nickisha Pryce, Gabby Thomas, Stacey Ann Williams and Talitha Diggs.

Women’s Short Sprints: Alana Reid, Kemba Nelson, Jenna Prandini, Daryll Neita, Melissa Jefferson, Tamara Clark, Jacious Sears and Jodean Williams.

Men’s Long Sprints: Vernon Norwood, Busang Collen Kebinatshipi, Deandre Watkin, Jereem Richards, Muzala Samukonga, Matthew Hudson-Smith, Christopher Bailey and Zandrion Barnes.

Men’s Short Sprints: Terrence Jones, Ackeem Blake, Courtney Lindsey, Zharnel Hughes, oblique Seville, Fred Kerley, Kenneth Bednarek and Joseph Fahnbulleh.

Women’s Short Hurdles: Denisha Cartwright, Nia Ali, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, Cyrena Samba-Mayela, Ackera Nugent, Masai Russell, Danielle Williams and Amber Hughes.

Women’s Long Hurdles: Dalilah Muhammad, Cathelijn Peeters, Shiann Salmon, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Rushell Clayton, Andrenette Knight and Cassandra Tate.

Men’s Short Hurdles: Omar McLeod, Dylan Beard, Cordell Tinch, Freddie Crittenden, Daniel Roberts, Sasha Zhoya, Orlando Bennett and Eric Edwards.

Men’s Long Hurdles: Assinie Wilson, Chris Robinson, CJ Allen, Roshawn Clarke, Alison Dos Santos, Clement Ducos, Caleb Dean and Malik James King.

Women’s Short Distance: Susan Lokayo Ejore, Heather Maclean, Natoya Goule-Toppin, Jessica Hull, Diribe Welteji, Nikki Hiltz, Mary Moraa and Sage Hurta-Klecker.

Women’s Long Distance: Nozomi Tanaka, Elise Cranny, Emily Infeld, Agnes Jebet Ngetich, Ejgayehu Taye, Tsigie Gebreselama, Hellen Ekalale Lobun and Whittni Morgan.

Men’s Short Distance: Neil Gourley, Mohamed Attaoui, Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Yared Nuguse, Josh Kerr, Cole Hocker, Marco Arop and Bryce Hoppel.
