Australian cricket legend and commentator has died of a suspected heart attack, reports are saying. He was 52.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course,” his family said in a statement.
Warne took 708 Test wickets in 145 matches and 293 wickets in 194 ODIs during a career considered one of the greatest ever.
Warne's passing comes within a day after Australian wicketkeeping legend Rod Marsh died after suffering a recent heart attack.
